It is divided into two sections, each 8 km long. The first section involves a climb of over 800 metres in elevation between Munster and the summit, whilst the second section takes you back down. From the top, there is a splendid view of the highest peaks of the Vosges as well as the Munster and Florival valleys. It is also worth noting that the descent is more wooded than the ascent.

This route is structured around four main routes, four atmospheres, four ways of experiencing the landscape. Panoramic at times, through woodland at others, or deep in the forest, with a rhythm of ascents and descents. They cross or skirt the village, opening up views to the east or west, sometimes wide-open, sometimes more secluded. The route begins with a gentle climb, ideal for warming up, as it crosses through the village. We tackle the hill via a very pleasant forest path. Upon reaching the end of the route, after visiting the ‘Le Gestion’ site, we head south again along a wider path, offering breathtaking views to the west. The grand finale: a mix of trails and wide paths, with a breathtaking view of the Alsace plain.

This short route, starting from the centre of the village of Labaroche, invites you to discover this magnificent village from a slightly higher vantage point. The route skilfully alternates between tarmac and trails, forests and open landscapes, offering a beautiful glimpse of what the region has to offer. The main destination of the hike is the Château du Petit Hohnack, which offers a well-deserved mid-route break with a 360° panoramic view and a bit of history to accompany the landscape. This is the only real difficulty of the route, not technical, but physical. However, it is short and easily avoidable if you don't feel like it, or if you are cycling.

Labaroche is a very large commune. This hike takes you around the upper part of the village, so the elevation gain is modest. The route is divided into two parts and goes around Le Cras and Petit Hohnack. The detour around Le Cras follows forest paths to the Herrenwasen pass. This hike includes a few sections on small mountain roads and is particularly recommended in autumn when nature is ablaze with colour.

It claimed the lives of more than17,000 young French and German soldiers.

A lovely walk in the shade with a few points of interest. As the path is very easy to walk on, I suggest an alternative route that allows you to push an all-terrain pushchair (not tested with a pushchair!).The advantage of this route is that it’s a return walk, so you can turn back whenever you like.

Two-thirds of the route is through forest. The return journey, arriving at the gates of Ammerschir, is entirely through vineyards, passing through two villages: Katzenthal and Niedermorschwihr. The area's heritage is also well represented, first in Turckheim, then in the other villages you pass through, as well as at the Christ the Redeemer statue, erected in memory of the First World War. From this statue of Christ at the summit of the Galtz, there is a magnificent view of both the mountains and the plains.

The route follows forest and vineyard paths and tarmac or cobbled roads.

A lovely, easy walk that takes you from vineyards to woodland, allowing you to explore this promontory between the Kaysersberg valley and Ammerschwihr. At the end of the route, you can admire the little Saint-Wolfgang Chapel in Kaysersberg, as well as magnificent views of the plain and Ammerschwihr.

This hike will first take you through the beautiful forest between Westhalten and Osenbuhr and then onto a balcony overlooking the vineyards of Pfaffenheim and Rouffach.

Begin your descent through varied landscapes towards the first villages of the Alsace plain, situated on the Wine Route. After enjoying the 360° view from the Petit Ballon over the valleys of Guebwiller and Munster and the Hohneck and Grand Ballon mountain ranges, it is as you begin the descent at the end of the ridge that you will catch sight of the Petit Ballon glacial cirque. Beautiful little paths, winding through woods and meadows, vineyards and mountains, will take you to the village of Soultzmatt, via Wintzfelden and Osenbach, not forgetting a short stop at the remarkable site of the ruins of Schwartzenthann Convent.

Ammerschwihr is a small wine-growing village situated between Colmar and Kaysersberg. This village is often overlooked and is merely a stopover on the way to Colmar and Kaysersberg. However, there are many interesting cultural sites to discover, such as the Tour des Voleurs, Saint-Wendelin Chapel, the Porte Haute, Saint-Martin’s Church and Saint-Éloi Chapel. This short historical route takes in all these sites. The route is very short and can be combined with visits to Kienthzeim and Sigolsheim.

A varied hike starting from Lac Noir, winding through the beautiful Vosges forest and taking you to the Hans rock, which overlooks Lac Blanc. The return route, which is less busy, allows you to discover the lake’s source and the stubble fields near Gazon du Faing. PLEASE NOTE: The notice dated August 2026 indicates a diversion at the end of the route, adding an extra 2 km.

Looking for a varied hike with different terrain? Then look no further than the Three Lakes Hike. Rooted footpaths, forest tracks, uneven terrain, crossing the Gazon du Faing, Lac Noir, Lac Blanc and Lac des Truites (also known as Lac du Forlet) and, on a clear day, a diversion to the Belmont Rocher observatory or Rocher de Hans. A lovely hike to do in fine weather. It's better for the scenery.

This is a lovely walk with no particular difficulties, offering beautiful views of the Val d’Orbey, the Munster Valley and the Vosges ridges. Winding through woods and stubble fields, the route takes you from lake to lake to the Schupferen farmhouse inn, where you can enjoy a delicious break with the world’s best Fleischnacka! The welcome is lovely. Booking is essential, as the inn is small. The return journey is mainly downhill, which is very pleasant after a meal at the farmhouse inn.

The walk is easily done in the morning and can be combined with a visit to Gueberschwihr, a neighbouring village.

Soultzmatt is a small town with just over 2,000 inhabitants. It is situated at the entrance to the Vallée Noble on the banks of the Ohmbach. Stretching out in a long, narrow shape, the town retains its pretty winegrowers’ houses. The town is also famous for being home to the Lizbeth spring (a local mineral water). This route takes you past Château Wagenbourg, Saint-Sébastien Church and St-Nicolas Chapel.

The first part of this hike takes place on forest paths and the return journey is through the meadows of the Haute Vallée Noble. The route takes you to the pilgrimage site of Schaefertal (Val du Pâtre), the mysterious site of Schwarzenthann, the meadows of Wintzfelden and the panorama of the Zinnkoepfle and the Noble Valley at Grossfels. This hike can be shortened by almost 4 kilometres if you choose the Shepherd's Valley Chapel as your starting point.

The Florival Valley seen from above – a perfect way to end the walk! Setting off from Soultzmatt, you’ll enjoy ‘heritage stops’ along the Val du Pâtre Way of the Cross, pausing to visit the churches and chapels of Soultzmatt, Val de Pâtre and Saint-Gangolphe. This long hike concludes on the balcony paths through the Guebwiller vineyards, offering exceptional panoramic views of the Florival Valley, the Grand Ballon and the Petit Ballon. You’ll be able to look back and admire the routes you’ve covered over the last few days.

A major tourist destination, this village attracts several thousand visitors every year. This tour aims to introduce you to the historic centre of Kaysersberg, taking in other points of interest such as Kaysersberg Church, the fortified bridge, the Maison Loewert and the Albert Schweitzer Centre.

Although the climb up to Rocher Hans and the statue of the Virgin Mary at its summit may not look easy, it isn’t as difficult as it seems, even for little ones. After the effort (all the same), the reward!Of course, Rocher Hans itself is inaccessible, but the various viewpoints overlooking the lake are truly magnificent.Be careful, though – the descent is a bit trickier: less steep, but more slippery in places. The final few hundred metres, along the road, are safe: the path is separated and protected by a metal and wooden guardrail.
