(S) On leaving the stopover lodge, retrace your steps from the previous day via Rue de la Mairie ,then take the Route de Céreste(D33) to the left.
(1) At the hiking sign, continue along the GRE7/GR® straight ahead on the D33. After a hairpin bend to the left, you’ll reach a junction flanked by a ‘No Vehicles’ sign.
(2) Turn right against the flow of traffic onto the Piste de Roumagaou to reach a junction.
(3) At the signpost, stay on the track straight ahead; then, at the Fork in the road, continue straight ahead and, at the next Fork in the road, turn right.
(4) At the barrier, leave the track and take a path on the left signposted GRE7/GRP®. Cross a stream, then stay on the main track. Cross a path and rejoin the Piste de Roumagaou.
(5) Follow it uphill to the right. At its hairpin bend, cross a torrent and ignore the path climbing up to the left into the Vallon de Jacquas. On almost level ground, go round the south-western ridge of the Grand Garbeyron. After a gate, continue halfway up the Vallat de Pissaire and reach a junction at a right-hand hairpin bend.
(6) At the signpost, leave the track and, opposite, head up the Ravin du Gancet via a overgrown path. Ignore the side tracks and reach a track. Follow it to the right for 20 m before reaching a junction (elevation 627).
(7) At the signpost, head down the path, GRE7/GR®, going against the flow of traffic to the left (north-west) towards Montjustin. Then head north until you reach a junction (alt. 530 m).
(8) Turn onto the wide path on the right. Pass under a high-voltage power line and emerge at a bend in the Route du Colombier (elevation 452 m).
(9) Take this road straight ahead and cross the bridge over the River Aiguebelle. Pass through the hamlet of Le Colombier and climb up a hairpin bend to the right at the entrance to the village of Montjustin.
(10) At the signpost, leave the GRE7 to the right, as well as the village above. Immediately, turn left onto the Chemin des Crêtes (West), signposted GR®4/GRP®, until you reach a junction (elevation 495).
(11) Continue straight on along the GR®4/GRP®, then head down a gentle slope to join the Chemin de Montjustin.
(12) At the signpost, continue straight ahead to reach a junction.
(13) At the signpost, cross the small concrete bridge over the Ruisseau d’Aiguebelle and head for the junction just before the D31.
(14) At the signpost, do not join the D31 but continue to the right along the Chemin de l’Hubac. You will emerge onto the Cours Aristide Briand (the D4100), at the entrance to the village of Céreste and opposite a chapel. Turn right for 50 metres and reach a junction.
(15) At the signpost, turn left onto Avenue du Docteur Borty, signposted GR®4/GRP®. Cross an old stone bridge and arrive at a fork in the road.
(16) At the signpost, keep to the right onto Route des Prés. Stay on this road , ignoring any side paths, walk past an SNCF holiday centre and reach a junction.
(17) At the signpost, continue straight on for 120 m and, at the Fork in the road, turn left onto Chemin de la Combe. Quickly ignore the track on the left and stay on the same path straight ahead. After 400 m, ignore the path on the left (elevation 394) and,at the next Fork in the road, flanked by a pillar, keep to the left. Pass under a high-voltage power line and join the Route du Prieuré at a bend.
(18) At the signpost, head straight along this road. Ignore the side dirt tracks and, at the junction marked with the ‘Carluc’ sign, continue straight ahead. As you descend into the Ravin de Carluc valley, at the right-hand bend, take the path on the left through the scrub and, further down, rejoin the road. Walk past the Priory of Carluc and then reach a crossroads (elevation 442).
(19) At the signpost, turn left onto the GR®4/GRP® and follow the stream until you reach a Fork in the road.
(20) At the signpost, keep left onto the ascending GR®4/GRP® and, further up, you’ll come to the Chemin des Épinettes.
(21)Take this path to the right , ignoring the side tracks. Cross a stream and emerge onto the Route du Grand Vallat (elevation 405).
(22) Follow it straight on and you’ll reach a T-junction near the Mas du Criquet (elevation 455).
(23)Leave the road before it bends to the right and follow the track opposite, the Chemin du Tombereau. Further on, pass the Château de la Ferrage and reach a crossroads at the entrance to the village of Sainte-Croix-à-Lauze.
(24) At the signpost, ignore the first road on the left signposted ‘Apt’ and take the second one, the Chemin d’Apt. After 120 metres, turn right onto the ascending track, Le Pasd’Oppedette. One kilometre further on, you’ll come to a Fork in the road (elevation 753).
(25) At the signpost, ignore the track on the right and stay on the one opposite, leading to a junction.
(26) Pass the hamlet of Le Grand Banc on your left and head down the Route de Sainte-Croix-à-Lauze, opposite. Pass a hairpin bend and, further on, reach a junction at its right-hand bend.
(27) Leave the road and take the track straight ahead. You’ll reach a junction on the edge of the Route des Vachères.
(28) Turn left onto the path that runs alongside it before joining the road. Follow it as it continues and you’ll reach a crossroads in front of Oppedette Town Hall.
(29) At the sign, ignore the first road on the right (the D201) and take the next one, Rue de la Fontaine, to reach the stopover lodge after contacting the town hall (E).
