Car park and picnic area, 2 km after La Bastide-des-Jourdans on the D956 towards Forcalquier.
(S/E) Take the path that starts at the back of the car park. It is marked in yellow but with very few markings.
(1) At the crossroads, take the track on the right that goes around Pié Cabrier and follow it until you reach the D956.
(2) Continue to the D 956 and follow it carefully to the left.
(3) Take the DFCI path on the left. Be careful, there are two parallel paths. The lower one leads to Château Véron, so take the upper one for about 1.5 km.
(4) At the crossroads, do not take theGR®97to the right or left, but take the wide path in the middle that climbs up the ridge (yellow markings). Throughout this passage, you can see the Lure mountain and the Alps on your right.
(5) At a fork, the path, still marked in yellow, leaves the main track for a shortcut to the right. Join the track you left earlier and you will soon reach a crossroads with a cistern on the right.
(6) Take the path that descends to the left into the Vallon de Jacquas.
(7) At the bottom of the valley, follow the track to the right on theGR®97for about 200 m.
(8) Leave the track and turn left. Below the path, a small pond is the ideal place for a picnic, halfway along the route.
Then continue straight on theGR®97which, 200 m further on, leaves the path for a trail on the right to go around the plantations. Join a track and follow it to the right. Ignore a track on the right and continue to the next junction.
(9) Leave theGR®97by taking the yellow-marked path on the left. Go around a house and head south, staying on the main path.
(10) Descend slightly at the bend and continue slightly to the left on a small unmarked path. Be careful, the start of the path is not very visible! This avoids passing through Les Serres and walking on the D33. Continue straight ahead, descending towards Vallat de Pissaire.
(11) When you reach the valley, cross a ford (usually dry) and rejoin theGR®97, which climbs to the left.
(12) After 500 m, theGR® leaves the main track, climbing to the right and going around the small pass du Paradis. After going around it, leave a path on the left and then another on the right and arrive at the Pas du Loup crossroads. Continue straight ahead on the main path, which winds south-southeast for about 800 m.
(13) At a bend, a small track branches off to the left, running alongside a small valley, and joins a path 300 m further on.
Continue right along this path, which passes above a sheepfold, to reach the D956.
(14) Climb up the D956 to the left for 500 metres to return to the car park (S/E).
