A circular walk between La Bastide-des-Jourdans and Vitrolles-en-Lubéron

Park in the car park on Rue du Stade in La Bastide-des-Jourdans.

(S/E) Head towards the chapel via Rue du Stade. At the chapel, turn right, then at the next junction turn right onto Rue du Barri.^GR®®9.

(1) At the next T-junction, continue straight on, going uphill along Rue du Barri. At the top of the street, turn right onto the D216.

(2) At the first junction on the left, take the left-hand street, towards Vitrolles, and continue straight on. At the next Y-junction, turn right and continue straight on.

(3) At the end of the road, at the last building, continue straight on along the small path. At the next two junctions, continue straight on. At a Y-junction, turn right and pass the sign for “VC12 de Notre Done”.

(4) At the next junction, at the “La Verrerie” signpost, continue straight on towards Vitrolles.

(5) At the signpost “Le Pas du Loup”, take the second path on the right, towards Vitrolles. Join a track and continue straight ahead. At a Y-junction, turn left. Join a track, turn left, pass through a vehicle barrier and a ford, and continue straight ahead.

(6) At the “La Tuilière” signpost, take the small path on the right along the fence and continue straight ahead.

(7) When you reach a field at marker 67, turn right and continue along the small path. Leave the^GR®®9.

(8) When you reach the vineyard, continue straight ahead. At the end of the vineyard, take the bend to the left, then the small path to the right. Join a track, turn left, and at the next junction, left again. Before the road, turn right.

(9) At the road, turn right and continue along the road to the village.^GR®®9. At the “Les Pins” signpost, continue along the road. At the bend at the village entrance, continue straight ahead.

(10) At the top of the street, turn right onto Rue Basse and continue straight on, passing the church, the castle, the calvary and the water tower, then leave the village via the D33.

(11) At the “Vitrolles” signpost, continue straight on the D33, pass the “DFCI GL22” sign and continue along the road.^GR®®97.

(12) Take the first track on the right at the “DFCI GL20” sign via the Chemin de Roumagou.

(13) At the junction of two tracks by the “Carbonnel” signpost, turn left. At the next junction of two tracks, with a concrete post on either side, turn right.

(14) Before the entrance to the property, take the small path on the left. At a T-junction, turn left and at the next T-junction, continue straight ahead.

(15) Under the “Vallat de Jacquas” signpost, continue straight on towards Ravin de Gancet. Join track GL20, turn right and continue straight on along this track. At a T-junction, turn right. Pass through a barrier and continue straight on.

(16) At a bend, at the “Ravin de Gancet” signpost, turn right and continue along the track. Leave^{the GR®®97}.

(17) Join the D956 at the “Château Veron” signpost. Take care. Turn right onto the D956 towards “La Bastide-des-Jourdans”. Pass the “Matalans” signpost and continue along the road.

(18) At the “La Grassane” signpost, leave the road, take the track on the left, then the ascending track on the right towards La Bastide-des-Jourdans. At the top of the hill, turn right, then take the ascending track on the right, pass the barrier and continue straight on.

(19) At a Y-junction, turn left. Join a track and continue straight ahead.

(20) At a bend, turn left and continue straight on. At a Y-junction, take the track going uphill to the right. At the next Y-junction, by the large pond, turn left.

(21) Join a track and turn right, continuing along this track. Pass in front of the “Les Canards” farm and turn right; the track becomes a road, so continue along this road.

(22) Before the D27, turn right, pass the chapel, and turn right towards the village. Take the second street on the left, towards the Chapel, and head to the Rue du Stade car park (S/E).
