From Saint-Léger-aux-Bois to the Forest of Eu

Start from the car park at the church in Saint-Léger-aux-Bois.

(S/E) Turn your back on the church and take Rue du Bourg on your right. Continue along this street until you reach the junction with the D116. At the junction, turn right onto Rue Lemire. Continue along this street.

(1) Take the first path on your left as you leave the village. Continue along this path across flat fields until you reach the wayside shrine.

(2) The track then begins to descend towards the valley to reach the village of Rétonval. Ignore the two tracks on your left before reaching Rétonval. Continue down to the junction.

(3) Cross the junction and take the road opposite, Rue de la Ventilette. Continue along this road, which climbs towards the Forest of Eu and turns into a forest track. Continue along this track, which descends slightly.

(4) At the bend, take the Route Forestière Mont Gournoy on your left. Continue straight ahead along this forest road until you reach the T-junction with the Route Forestière Centrale, ignoring the paths to the right and left.

(5) At the junction, turn left onto the Route Forestière Centrale. Continue straight ahead on this forest road until you reach the Ernest Maire signpost.

(6) At the post, continue straight on along the Route Forestière Centrale until you reach the junction with the D82.
At the junction, continue straight on along the D82 until you reach the Mare Ronde crossroads.

(7) At the crossroads, leave the tarmac and take the Route Forestière Maison Gavelle on your left. Continue straight ahead along this forest road until you reach the junction with a tarmac road, ignoring the paths to the right and left. At the junction, take the road on your right.

(8) Leave the tarmac and take the first path on your left, the Route Forestière des Cateliers. Continue straight on along this forest track until you reach a T-junction, ignoring the paths on the left. At the junction, take the path on your right until you reach a fork in the tracks at the edge of the forest.

(9) At the fork, take the left-hand path. Continue straight on along this path, ignoring the paths on the right. At the end of the path, you will arrive in the village of Saint-Léger-aux-Bois on Rue du Bourg.

(10) Turn left onto Rue du Bourg until you reach the junction with the D116. At the junction, cross the D116 and continue straight on to reach the church car park, your starting point (S/E).
