From Monêtier-les-Bains to La Salle-les-Alpes

Park in the large car park on Route des Guibertes in Monêtier-les-Bains.

(S/E) Take the road on the right as you leave the car park and make a small detour to the right where the well-groomed and wide snow track begins, running alongside the cross-country ski trail. Stay on this single footpath throughout the route, guided by the large arrow sign indicating the pedestrian path to follow.

(1) Pass close to the village of Les Guibertes and arrive at the Pontillas lake.

(2) Take the road on the right and walk past the lake until you reach a fork with a small lane.

(3) Take it on the left and then carefully cross the Route de Grenoble.

(4) Cross the small bridge opposite, which crosses the Guisane, and arrive at Rue de la Guisane.

(5) Continue to the right until you reach a Y-junction.

(6) Take Chemin des Crozes, which climbs to the left, to reach Place de l'Église Saint-Marcellin in La Salle-des-Alpes.

(7) Turn around and walk 100 metres, then turn left, pass in front of the Chapelle Saint-Barthélémy, then turn left to retrace your steps and return to the car park (S/E).

Snowshoes are not essential as the snow is well groomed. A sign with a large arrow indicates the route to follow for pedestrians.
