From Louveciennes to Parc de Saint-Cloud circular route

Departure from the car park on Rue du Pressoir in Louveciennes. For access by train, see the practical information.

(S/E) When leaving the car park, turn right. Turn left and then, at the crossroads, take the dead-end road opposite. In front of the playground, turn left and then right. At the three-way junction, take the middle path. At the crossroads, take the third left and then keep to the right.

^GR®1Red and White markings

(1) Head straight ahead on the path marked in red and white. Ignore the paths leading off to the left. At the end, turn left. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead. Turn into the third street on the left.

(2) Go under the bridge. Turn left, then right at the stop sign. In the bend, take the Sente des Brangères. Turn left to cross Avenue Jean Moulin at the pedestrian crossing and go up the one-way road.

(3) At the stop sign, cross the avenue and enter the woods opposite. Ignore the path on the left and turn right. Keep to the right. At the crossroads, follow the path on the left opposite. Go straight ahead at each junction. Pass in front of the Pavillon du Butard and go down the path on the left. Turn right and go straight ahead until you reach Route des Puits.

(4) Turn left and then further on, turn right onto Sente du Bois des Dames. Turn right. At the crossroads, turn right. Cross the boulevard at the pedestrian crossing on the left. Head towards the station.

(5) Opposite the station, follow Rue Allouard to the left. Pass Rue René Garrel. Cross Boulevard de Jardy at the pedestrian crossing to go up Avenue des Terrasses opposite. At the end, turn right (Avenue du Bois). Go left to cross the motorway. After crossing the last slip road, follow the path to the left.

(6) Take the first right, which runs alongside a golf course. Ignore the paths on the left and go straight ahead at the crossroads. The path turns left and reaches a street. Go down it on the right (Rue Yves Cariou). At the end, turn left.

(7) Pass in front of the town hall and, before the church, make the first turn left then right to cross the Porte Blanche at the end of the street. Follow the path on the right.

(8) At the crossroads, go straight ahead and keep to the left. Leave a path on your right. At the fork, keep to the right. At the two crossroads, go straight ahead.

(9) At the end, turn left. Ignore two paths on the right and cross two paths. Turn right three times. Cross a path and follow the tarmac road on the right to Rond de Chasse.

(10) Cross the square in the centre and follow the small lane on the left. Keep to the right, then to the left. Leave the path coming from the left. Cross two large lanes. Turn right at the third.

(11) At Rond de la Balustrade, leave the^{GR®1 trail}, walking along the car park on your right. At Rond de la Broussaille, leave the two large paths and follow the trail heading west. Keep the wall surrounding Parc de Saint-Cloud on your left. Walk along and then cross the Grille de la Lyre gate.

(12) Cross the D985 and enter the park straight ahead. Turn left into the woods at the small monument. At the end, turn left. At the three-way junction, keep left.

(8) At the crossroads (which you have already passed), go down the path opposite. Cross the tarmac and, after the barrier, turn left. Leave the steps. Keep left to walk along the park's boundary wall. At the gate, take the first path on the right. Cross two paths and then go under the motorway. Take the bridge over the railway line. Walk along the right-hand side of the pond and then cross the stream.

(13) At the end of the car park on the left, follow the wide path. Ignore the paths leading off to the left. After the gate, follow the boulevard on the right. Cross at the pedestrian crossing. Turn right at the end of the car park. Continue along the pavement, then go through the gate on the left. Follow the concrete path, climb the steps and exit the park.

(14) Turn left, then go up the street on the right. At the end of Allée des Haras, turn right, cross at the pedestrian crossing, then follow the path on the right. At the roundabout on your right, cross at the pedestrian crossing and first turn right then left. Keep left twice.

(15) Take the first small path on the left. Turn left at the crossroads. Continue straight ahead on the tarmac. At the stop sign, turn left. Ignore the private estate and turn right at the roundabout. At the crossroads, take the second street on the right. At the roundabout, continue along the street opposite. Continue straight ahead at the crossroads.

(16) Cross the square and follow the large avenue on the right. At the three-way junction, use the pedestrian crossings to follow Rue de Vindé. At the stop sign, go straight ahead into the street that goes uphill. Go down the steps and then make the first turn right then left. Go straight ahead after the church. At the three-way junction, take the street opposite. At the three-way junction, keep left. Walk along the wall of the Parc du Château de la Celle. Cross the avenue at the pedestrian crossing on the right. Turn left and take two pedestrian crossings.

(17) Follow the path on the right. Go up the stairs. Continue along the avenue to the end. Turn left and you will reach Bougival station.

(18) Take the passage under the railway line on the right and continue straight ahead along the station car park. At the roundabout, go straight ahead into the street on the left. Follow the path on the right into the woods. Keep right at the crossroads. Turn left at the fork. Take the fourth path on the right (red and yellow markings). At the end, turn right. Cross several crossroads until you reach a fork.

(19) Keep to the right and then turn right. Follow Rue Auguste Renoir on the left. At the end, turn left. Ignore the one-way street. At the fork, keep to the left. Rue du Pressoir on the left leads to the car park (S/E).

Access to the hike:
- By car: park in the car park on Rue du Pressoir in Louveciennes. Please note that this car park has very limited capacity; if it is full, look for parking in the adjacent streets. Another car park is located on Rue de l'Étang.
- By train: Vaucresson station (5) or Bougival station (18) on the Transilien L line (Paris Saint-Lazare network). For timetables, visit the Transilien website. From the station, exit on the north side and start the walk at point (5).
