To reach the starting point, you will need to use the car park located near the station.
Accessible by public transport (TAG and TER).
The path is well marked with yellow markings and signposts.
(S/E) Walk up the winding Allée de la Croix de la Vue. After passing under a power line, turn right at the T-junction.
(1) At the next junction, turn right towards the Croix de la Vue, which is about 200 metres back from the path.
(2) Just after the cross, take the path on the left which climbs gently towards the village of Montchaboud. Pass under another high-voltage power line.
(3) At the crossroads, follow the path on the right. Then turn right to reach the village and pass in front of a pond.
(4) Take the road on the left and, at the fork immediately ahead, take the right-hand path, Chemin des Sautes (yellow markings). Further on, the road gives way to a path and climbs slightly to another fork.
(5) Take the path on the left along a meadow, then the path descends quite quickly into the forest. At the bottom of the descent, continue straight ahead, slightly to the left. You will see the Château de Bon Repos on your left. Cross a hamlet of a few houses.
(6) Turn left towards the château. You can enter the château courtyard for a break. Retrace your steps.
(6) Take the first road on the right and follow it for just under 500 metres.
(7) When you reach a small roundabout, turn left onto Route de la Combe and follow this road, which becomes a path a little further on. The path climbs slightly into the woods.
(1) At the crossroads you took on the way out, take the descent on the right and then turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
Beautiful hike apart from the steep and slippery descent from km 4, the rest was perfect, thanks to the trailblazer.
