Park in the centre of the village of Domptail-en-l'Air.
(S/E) Walk up Rue de Belchamp (east) for about 150 metres.
(1) Turn right between two houses to go down a narrow path that leads straight to a wider path. Follow this path to the left and, at the next fork, turn right.
(2) The Sinfond stream runs through the middle of the path (wear good shoes in very wet weather). Continue straight ahead.
(3) After this short climb, turn right and pass under the EDF power lines. Ignore all the paths on the right and continue to a four-way crossroads.
(4) Follow an old road on the left and continue straight ahead, ignoring two paths on the right. From the hilltop, look to your right to admire the Moselle valley and the Château de Neuviller-sur-Moselle.
(5) At the fourth road, turn right and then right again to reach the village of Lorey, birthplace of Charles Dussaulx, the little-known inventor of the internal combustion engine.
(6) Turn right onto Rue de la Mairie, then left onto Route de Belchamp. Pass the cemetery and continue along the fruit trees to reach the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(4) Turn left and join the D112.
(7) Turn right and carefully follow the road uphill towards Domptail-en-l'Air to return to the car park (S/E).
