There are several parking options at the entrance to and within the town of Chablis. If possible, park in the Town Hall car park.
(S/E) From Porte Noël, walk up the street of the same name to Rue du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny. Turn right onto this street and walk past the Tourist Office. Cross the two bridges over the Serein.
(1) After the second bridge, turn right and follow the river. Continue straight ahead until you reach the intersection with Route de Tonnerre (D965).
(2) Cross the road carefully and take the small parallel road on the left for about 80 metres. Turn right onto the first path that enters the vineyards. Continue and join the famous "Montée Tonnerre" path.
(3) Turn right and walk along the "Montée Tonnerre" for about 750 m until you reach the second crossroads and just before an antenna. Turn left towards Fyé. Walk along the vineyards on a flat path, and as you approach the hamlet, take the second path on the left to reach it. Join the main street via Rue de Brechain.
(4) Turn left, and just before the church, take Rue de la Vaux going up to the right, then quickly continue on the stone track, heading north. As soon as the slope levels out, leave a small road on the right and continue for another hundred metres until you reach a crossroads.
(5) Turn left, then right, heading west, and follow the widest path, passing three vineyard paths on your left. After passing a field without vines, the path turns 90° to the south-west and gradually returns to the vineyards.
Begin the descent and at an elevation of 235 metres, turn right and join the start of a gravel track. Turn left to descend another 70 metres or so to a crossroads.
(6) Turn left into the Preuses vineyard. Cross this vineyard, then shortly before reaching a small road, turn twice at 90° to enter the Vaudésir appellation. Walk along the low wall to the entrance of the property.
(7) At the small house, turn right onto a staircase. Continue in the same direction and join a wider path. Head left and then take the first path on the right. After a short climb, cross the Vaudésir appellation vineyard and reach a crossroads with the Valmur plot. Head south and descend to the Château des Grenouilles.
(8). Cross the Route de Tonnerre (D965) with caution and turn right until you reach the crossroads. Then turn left, follow the Serein river along Avenue Jean Jaurès and you will arrive at a small car park on the right and the entrance to a park.
(9) Cross the small park (playground and picnic tables). Cross the bridge over the Serein river and follow the river, turning left onto Rue Laffitte. At the end, turn right onto Boulevard Lamarque.
(10) At the first crossroads, turn left onto Rue des Moulins. Cross Rue Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny and continue straight ahead onto Rue Porte Noël to reach the Town Hall car park (S/E).
