Start from the Saint-Vincent picnic and children's play area, Chichée exit, direction Tonnerre. The route is signposted in Green and Yellow (PR® 12-163).
(S/E) Return to the road (D345) and follow it to the right towards Tonnerre. 100m after the left-hand bend, take the path to the right (large electricity pole), which climbs up through the vineyards. Cross the 1st Vaucoupin vineyard (famous wines), keeping to the North-East. Ignore the paths on either side, and join a small tarmac road on the right.
(1) At the end of the tarmac, turn around to admire the view of the Chablis vineyards. Then continue on the path slightly to the right until it bends 90° to the right.
(2) Enjoy the view of Château de Béru (neighbouring village), then turn right along the path. Go straight through the vineyards to the Bois des Bouchots, at the place called Côte Rotie.
(3) Turn right onto a wider road. Continue for approx. 500m.
(4) Turn left, then right-left, and follow the road for about 300m to a T-junction.
(5) Turn right, then after about 200m, turn left onto a wider track through the vines, which bends to the left before rejoining the Chichée-Viviers road.
(6) Turn right for 30m, then left and follow the track down towards the river. At the end of the path, turn left and continue, leaving a track on the left.
(7) Pass the Moulin de Casse Mouche (restored mill), turn right at the next junction and continue to the picnic area just before the main road.
(8) Turn right, cross the bridge over the Serein and immediately fork left towards Chemilly-sur-Serein. Pass the former castle, now a private home, and turn right at the elm tree (arbre de la liberté) to leave the village. Go straight across the crossroads for 30m (towards Cravant).
(9) Turn right onto Chemin de l'Ouche, the former railroad line between Laroche-Migennes and Lisle-sur-Serein. Continue for approx. 400m, then turn left and climb slightly.
(10) Follow the path to the right, continue straight ahead on the path in the extension and reach the plateau. At the fork in the road, fork right and continue through the vineyards.
(11) About 40m after a track on the right, turn left and then right at the next junction, joining a small road that leads to Chichée.
(12) Cross the road and continue on the track ahead.
(13) Turn left, then immediately right to join a tarmac road. Turn right downhill towards the village, passing the old railway station, now converted into a private home.
(14) At the next crossroads, take the second road on the left, cross the route de Chablis (D45) and pass the former priory. Turn left, cross Place de la Mairie, then Place de l'Eglise, going straight on.
At the end of the road, turn left and cross the pasture (large avenue lined with lime trees housing the Lyonnaises boules (also known as 'bocce velo' courts)). Finally, turn right to cross the bridge over the Serein and return to the starting point on the right(S/E).
