(S/E) Park your car in the dirt car park to the west of the hotel.
Take the straight U50 track heading south towards the forest.
Enter the forest and continue straight ahead, ignoring the yellow trail on both the left and right. You will reach a four-way intersection.
(1) Continue straight ahead until you reach a fork. When you see a wooden bench and the sign for Source de Saint-Zacharie, take the path on the left that climbs into the forest.
When you reach the large crossroads at the oratory, go up the concrete track on the right to the foot of the monastery (if you don't know it, I recommend visiting the cave).
(2) At the foot of the steps leading to the cave, follow the cliff to the west, pass the monks' garage, and at the end of a lane you will see a metal cross. Follow the brown signs.
(3) 150 metres after the cross, on your left, follow the faded brown sign for Pas de la Cabre.
Small trap: 30 metres after the sign, do not climb up towards the cliff but follow the brown trail (on the right), which will eventually run alongside the cliff and reach the pass.
(4) Pass between two cairns and turn right onto the red and whiteGR® trail; be careful to follow the trail closely.
About one kilometre after the pass, on a sort of false summit where the view opens up again on both sides of the mountain, look to your right, before a large cairn, for a large capital B painted in faded yellow.
(5) Take the yellow-marked path on the right, which descends quite steeply towards the forest. Follow the yellow trail to the bottom of the mountain.
(6) Join the main path, turn right, follow the green trail, and in front of the metal barrier, take the DFCI U50 track on the right. Follow the green and yellow trail, walking alongside houses on the edge of the forest for about 600 metres.
At any crossroads, follow the yellow trail only. Return to the starting point.
(1) Head slightly to the right into the forest, then immediately left and follow the yellow markings, passing a stone stele and walking along the edge of the forest and fields. You will reach the information board for the Sainte Baume relic forest.
(7) Take the wooden footbridge on the left, go around the hotel to return to your car (S/E).
