The route starts in the commune of Château Bernard, climbing the Col de l'Arzelier from Miribel Lanchâtre. Pass through the village and stop at the hamlet of Salicon (on the right as you climb). Go down the small road (towards Liverset) and park at the side.
(S/E) Walk up the small road for about 200 metres.
(1) You will find the trail on the left side of the road (hiking sign, towards Col de Soliet). Just follow the trail that climbs through the woods (with a few fairly steep sections) and after about 45 minutes, you will reach Col de Soliet and the trails that climb from Morinaire and Miribel Lanchâtre.
(2) Turn left, heading north (signposted Pré Playnet), and follow the path along the ridge for 40 to 45 minutes. This is the most enjoyable part of the hike, overlooking the valley with views of the Trièves. When you reach Pré Playnet, it's the ideal spot for a picnic, with a wooden picnic table and a large meadow. At the end of the meadow, you reach the summit of Playnet at an altitude of 1,508 metres.
(3) The view is magnificent, stretching from Les Grandes Rousses to Mont Aiguille. You can even see Mont Blanc.
(4) To return, take the path that descends to the bottom of the meadow (signposted Col de l'Arzelier). The descent is quick along a good path through the forest.
(5) When you reach the Col de l'Arzelier, at the small restaurant "l'Agape des alpages", take the path on the left which descends across a meadow towards Château Bernard, and in 15 minutes you will reach the hamlet of Salicon and then the starting point.

. And the view from the ridges and Playnet meadow is definitely worth the detour!
