Description of the walk

Park in the car park in front of the town hall in Le Chaffal or next to the war memorial.

(S/E) Then take the small road between the church and the "Colo du Chaffal".

(1) At the intersection, turn left towards Tête Noire.

(2) At the T-junction, turn right towards Tête Noire. Ignore a turn-off on the right and continue along the GR®9 (red and white markings).

(3) At a three-way fork, at a place called Tête Noire, follow the middle path with the GR®9. Make a few turns and reach an intersection (fence on the left).

(4) Go through the fence, close it behind you and take a path (let the GR® continue straight ahead - marker on the ground). Go down slightly, leave the cemetery on your left and you will soon reach a crossroads (cross).

(5) Then turn left and you will soon reach the intersection you took at the start of the hike.

(2) Then turn right.

(1) Take the hairpin bend to the right, pass the church again and return to the town hall car park (S/E).

Notes

Please note:
At the end of the route, before the cemetery (5), the path is very well marked but crosses a field where cows graze in season (in principle, there should be no cows in winter). If you are afraid of these animals, avoid this route. If not, respect the herd, pass by without approaching them and remain calm. Remember to close the gates behind you.

Always be cautious and plan ahead when you're outdoors. Visorando and the author of this route cannot be held responsible for any accidents occurring on this route.
