Description of the walk

Park in the car park at La Vacherie cemetery, or alternatively at the car park by La Vacherie church.

(S/E) Turn left, then left again onto Rue de Chasseloup. Continue until you reach the Tête Noire crossroads.

(1) Leave the street and turn right onto theGR®9, marked in red and white. Continue along theGR® until you reach Morelle Farm.
Cross the small streams at Comberoufle and Les Moreaux.

(2) Walk past the Morelle farm, respecting the fact that it is private property. Continue along the path, passing the houses of Fionat. Stay on theGR® to reach the junction marking the end of the circular route.

(3) Stay on theGR® to the right to reach the Moreaux Lodge. Please respect the property for the tenants’ sake.

(4) Carry on and then cross the little Ruisseau des Moreaux, which can be a bit tricky after heavy rain. Continue uphill to reach the crossroads by the ruins of Chaffal.

(5) Leave theGR® here and turn left onto the path leading down into the Bois de Fobesse. You’ll reach the Ravin du Grand Crot stream.

(6) Turn left, cross the Ruisseau de Corbière and then head towards Pêcher du Bas. Please note that this is private property.

(7) Keep to the right to head into the woods, where you’ll soon rejoin theGRP® du Grand Tour de la Gervanne. Leave thisGRP® and continue left along the track to reach Pêcher du Haut.

(8) Stay on the track and, further on, you’ll reach the junction marking the end of the circular route.

(3) Follow the route back in the opposite direction to return to the car park at La Vacherie cemetery (S/E).
