Col du Tronchet, starting from Brunissard

This is a pleasantly varied circular hike thanks to a climb mainly through forest, the lake and its surroundings, the rocky atmosphere of the Casse Déserte and the unusual return route along the bed of the Torrent de l'Izoard. This lake is very popular in July and August because it is easily accessible from the Col d'Izoard road, but this route allows you to enjoy most of the hike in peace and quiet.

Starting from Brunissard, access to a pass on theGR®58, Tour du Queyras.

A superb circular starting from Brunissard, which takes you to Pic des Esparges Fines after a gradual climb. This is followed by a passage past several lakes, ending at the Chalets de Clapeyto, nestled in a haven of peace. The return via the Col du Cros and the descent into the woods of the same name complete this magnificent walk.

This circular route around the Col Tronchet takes you to the summit of the Crête de Glaisette, where you can enjoy a remarkable panoramic view of the Queyras mountains.

A short, easy circular loop that climbs to Lac de Roue via a path through the hamlet of Les Maisons. The return journey is via a forest road.

This fourteenth stage completes the crossing of the Queyras Massif. From La Chalp, the GR® 5 climbs along the left bank of the Torrent de l’Izoard above Arvieux, then reaches the hamlet of Les Maisons. From there, it heads towards Lac de Roue before descending to Château-Queyras. The route climbs the steep slope on the opposite side, on the right bank of the Torrent de Bramousse, joins a road at a hairpin bend and leaves it at the next one. It continues through the torrent’s valley, reaches the ridge separating the Bramousse and Riou Vert valleys, and, hugging the hillside beneath the peaks of La Selle and Rasis, reaches the Col Fromage. The path descends along the right bank of the Ravin de Rasis to reach Le Villard before arriving at Ceillac, from where it follows the Torrent du Mélezet, alternating between the left and right banks, before reaching the Refuge de la Cime du Mélezet.

A circular walk exploring the Clapeyto summer chalets above Brunissard, via the Col du Cros and back via the Col du Lauzon.

Long loop to explore the Clapeyto chalets, then climb above to the Terres Blanche ridge where there are several lakes. Return via the Col du Néal and theGR® 5. Well-marked trails. Following the closure of the trail that started from the cross-country ski centre, we will start from the small lake at the entrance to the campsite which is an extra kilometre on the road in summer. This hike can also be done in winter on snowshoes, starting from theGR® 5 between the cross-country ski trails.
