Parking is available on the banks of the Asse.
(S/E) Take the track that follows the Riou d'Ourgeas ravine.
(1) Shortly before reaching the hamlet and its chapel, continue on the track to the left.
(2) After walking along the meadows surrounding the Bastide Neuve farm, continue on theGR® trail, pass Chaurits (about 500 m) and then take the track that climbs westwards on the right.
(3) The hike continues along a beautiful track through the forest and reaches the rocky ridge of La Melle and its gorge
(4). Continue along this balcony path until you cross the stream and a small rocky outcrop. The path leads up to the Chapelle Sainte-Elisabeth-du-Portugal, isolated in the middle of a grassy plateau. Note the remains of an ancient settlement (bridge, ruins, etc.) along the way.
(5) Retrace your steps and, just after the gorge, take the path on the left. Cross the stream via a small bridge.
(6) Follow the path along the mountainside, passing a sheepfold on your right and continuing slightly to the left until you reach a pass where you will come to a junction of several forest tracks.
(7) At the first intersection, stay on the central track.
(8) Shortly afterwards, you will reach the Ourgeas forest road, which takes you downhill (to the right) to the starting point (S/E).
