Park at the Warndtweiher car park (Warndt Pond), where there is a restaurant serving excellent food with a lovely sheltered terrace overlooking the pond.
(S/E) The path follows the Route des Hugenaux along the pond (marked by a blue coat of arms) and leads to a junction.
(1) Take the forest track on the left; further on, cross the main road (watch out for cars and motorbikes when crossing), then continue into the forest again until you reach a bench where you can rest for a moment.
(2) Head down the path on your left towards the sign for "Warndtweiher".
(3) At the junction, head up towards the “Nordic Walking Park”, ignoring the paths on either side.
(4) At the junction, turn left and continue along the path to the next junction, where you can rest and have a snack on a bench near a small forest track that leads south-west to the Wandtweiher (starting point) and north-east to the village of Differten.
(5) You’ll come across a forest track; the bench there is a good spot to rest. If you take this track to the left, you’ll reach the Warndtweiher car park; if you go right, you’ll reach the village of Differten. Continue straight on towards the north-west until you reach the main road – in other words, go straight on at the junction with this forest track.
(6) Cross over (always watch out for cars!) and follow the road to the right for about 200m. Then head back into the forest by following path no. 2 to the left (white signs on the trees). Pass a path on the right and continue straight on at the next junction to reach a star-shaped crossroads.
(7) Turn left, pass a first path on the left then another on the right immediately after, and reach another crossroads.
(8) Turn left, then continue straight on along the pond to the starting point (S/E).
