Tour of the Simon Quarry

A tarmac path leads to the former Simon Quarry, whose sand was used to fill in tunnels at the bottom of the coal mine.

At the bottom of the quarry, a lake has formed; the water level is gradually rising, allowing the natural environment to reclaim the area.
