Park in the Sacré-Cœur church car park in Quimerc'h. Access to the car park is opposite n°37, Rue Saint-Luc in Pont-de-Buis-lès-Quimerc'h. Do not confuse the starting point of this walk with that of Vieux-Quimerc'h.
(S/E) Begin the climb along the Route de la Forêt, which starts at the gable end of the Quimerc'h tobacconist's shop. Turn right immediately after leaving the main road until you reach a crossroads.
(1) Take the small road furthest to your left and continue uphill, skirting the garden shed and then the cemetery hedge. Enjoy the view of Quimerc'h, Pont-de-Buis and Menez Quelc'h from the top of the cemetery beside the porch of the former Saint-Pierre church in Quimerc'h. Pass two houses and cross a small road.
(2) Take a sunken track on the right. Cross the bridge over a small stream, then continue along a sunken track and finally onto a farm track leading to a small road.
(3) Turn left onto this road and then left again for a few dozen metres onto a larger road (route du Faou à Brasparts - D21). Immediately turn right towards the Pontic football stadium. Follow the pitch on the right along the white railings, continue behind the pitch and turn left onto a farm track to reach the hamlet of Kersioul.
(4) Fork right, pass to the left of the calvary and start downhill towards the railway line. Cross it to reach the typical, quiet village of Kostalan.

Summer option :
(5) In the middle of the village of Kostalan, take the farm track down to the right, fork left at the crossroads after 400 m and continue for another 100 m.
(6) Go left up the small sunken track to a small road.
(7) Take this small road to the right for 100 m, then turn left into the Forêt Communale de Kostalan.

Option for winter, not via point 6 (the section between points 6 and 7 can be muddy):
(5,7) Stay on the small main road as you leave the village of Kostalan.

(8) Twenty metres after the river, turn left onto a small track and continue uphill under the first trees to the right. Then turn left along the small woodland track near the new plantations. Leave the wood after 300 metres, joining the road from Rumengol to Quimerc'h. Once you reach the road, keep to the left until you reach the crossroads near a level crossing at Goasseac'h.
(9) Turn left to cross the crossing and begin the climb towards Plas ar Salud. Take the gravel path straight ahead alongside the house and continue straight ahead until you reach a small road (C29).
(10) Turn right, then cross the Quimerc'h to Brasparts road (D21) with care and continue straight ahead for 100 m. Continue straight ahead on the gravelled farm track. Stay on the main road at the first crossroads, then head down towards Rue de Ti Jopic. Cross the road and continue straight ahead until you reach the Route de Ti Nenez.
(11) Turn left along the boules pitch and then down Rue Albert Louppe. Turn left onto the small path that runs around the old school and return to the starting point (S/E).
