When you arrive in Beauregard via the D576 road, park at the entrance to the village in the small car park on the left.
(S/E) Take the small road heading east, which becomes a gravel road.
(1) At the crossroads, turn left. At the next crossroads, take the grassy path on the right. A sign indicates "Puy de la Louchadière". Begin the ascent, keeping to the north-east (ignore a path on the left, follow the green markings).
(2) At the crossroads, follow the arrow pointing to "accès au sommet" (access to the summit) and walk around the crater ridge in an anti-clockwise direction.
(2) Turn left onto the path marked "descente" (south-west).
When you leave the forest, turn left at the T-junction. You will arrive at the Beauregard sector forest.
(3) At a fork, follow the path on the right. Then ignore a path coming from the right and continue north-east.
(4) At elevation 1026, take the path on the right that climbs steeply to the summit of Puy de Jume. Walk halfway around the crater in a clockwise direction.
(5) Take the path that descends to the left (white and red markings forthe GR®441).
(6) Climb to the summit of Puy de la Coquille, where you will have a beautiful view of the Chaîne des Puys and Puy de Dôme. Continue southwest and descend steeply.
(7) Turn left, then immediately left again and finally right to reach another crossroads.
(8) Take the left-hand path.
(9) Turn right.
(10) At the end of the path, turn left. 700 m further on, turn right at an acute angle onto the small tarmac road. When this turns left, continue straight ahead, slightly to the right, along the path.
(11) At elevation 953, continue straight ahead (north-west) to reach the village and the car park (S/E).
