(S/E) Start this walk by heading due west along Rue de Curette. After passing a wayside cross on your left, just before the bridge, take the small lane leading to the Jardin d’Ashton Keynes, signposted on a town sign. Pass the two footbridges on your left.
(1) Cross Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Pass a thirdfootbridge on your left and take the next one. Then turn right and immediately left onto a small road that climbs slightly. At the top, turn right, then cross Avenue de l’Epinais immediately afterwards at the pedestrian crossing to take the path opposite. Cross another street and continue along the same path until you reach Rue des Chardonnerets.
(2) Turn left onto this street, cross Rue des Alouettes and continue along the street. At the ‘Stop’ sign opposite a bus shelter, turn right onto Rue de la Butte and walk 400 metres.
(3) When you reach the sign marking the end of the built-up area, turn left towards La Rousselière. Continue along the road. It has several bends.
(4) Just before a wooden building, which you’ll see opposite you, leave the road and turn right onto the grassy path. Ignore the first path on your right. Then turn right onto the stony path and follow it to the stop sign on the D39
(5) Cross this road carefully to reach the grassy track opposite. Cross the small road that follows and continue straight on along the stony track until you reach the hamlet of Le Marais.
(6) Go round it on the left and, at the next bend, leave the road and carry on straight ahead along the stony track until you reach a road.
(7) Turn right, then, at the next ‘Stop’ sign, cross the D26 with care and continue along the road opposite towards Les Grandes Prises. After the house, the road becomes a track.
(8) When you come to a wooded plot enclosed by a metal gate, veer to the right. Cross the next road (house number 624) and follow the track opposite. Pass a track on your left and join a road.
(9) Cross it and take the road opposite near the bus shelter; then, when you reach the house at number 11, turn onto the stony track opposite.
(10) At the 90° bend, turn left onto a pleasant little footpath. Cross the small road and take the path directly opposite, then continue along the tarmac road.
(11) When you reach Chemin du Verger, turn right, passing in front of the house at number 11. Take the path.
At a fork in the road near a house, leave the path straight ahead and turn left. You’ll come out onto a road.
(12) Turn right and walk through the hamlet of La Favrière. Ignore the small path on your left. Cross the bridge and, at the next bend, veer right onto the track and you’ll come out onto a road.
(13) Turn right, then right again, then left onto a path. Carry on straight ahead, cross a small road and join another one.
(14) At the Stop sign on the D39, carefully follow the road to the right for about a hundred metres before turning right onto the next road leading to the hamlet of Le Barreau.
(15) Pass through this hamlet. At the junction with the road, turn right. Shortly afterwards, take thefirst track on the left. At a Fork in the road, take the track on the left, then the one on the right opposite some houses
(16) At La Grulière, continue straight ahead along the road, then keep right onto Rue des Bouleaux. When you reach house number 2, veer left onto Rue des Planchettes. After house number 11, turn right onto the very pretty Chemin de la Close des Landes, which curves to the left to join Rue Pierre Bonnard
(17) Cross this street and continue along this lovely lane until you reach Rue du Frêne, which you take to the right to reach the church (S/E).
