(S/E) Start at the main square in Brinon-sur-Beuvron and continue walking along Rue du Commandant Victor Guerreau (D23).
(1) Turn right onto Allée Louis Jaucourt. At the corner of this street, you will see signs for this hike and also for mountain bike trails. Continue along this alley to the Château de Brinon, go around it and continue to the crossroads.
(2) Turn left and take the dirt track, continuing straight ahead along this track alongside the Beuvron to the D23.
(3) There, turn right and continue straight on to the village of Taconnay. In the village, take the D180, which is the fourth road on the right.
(4) Immediately take the first road on the left and begin the ascent. Continue climbing along the ridge road for 1.8 km, ignoring all other roads.
(5) The path joins a wider path: follow this path to the right and continue to Grenois. Enter the village via Rue de Fanchy. Follow this street straight ahead until you reach the junction.
(6) Take Rue Romain Rolland straight ahead, continue on Rue Achille Millien and straight ahead again on Rue Henri Bachelin for 20 metres.
(7) At the end of the street, turn left and immediately take the path on the right (formerly Route de la Montagne), which climbs quite steeply to the Chapelle de la Montagne.
(8) Go around the chapel on the right and take the ridge path for 1.2 km.
(9) Turn onto the wide grassy track and follow it for 1 km to reach the Calvary path.
(The path through the woods is still not marked on the map, but it is easy to follow and extremely well signposted).
(10) Descend towards the cross and statue of the Virgin Mary and head towards the cemetery.
(11) Turn right onto the D135 and follow the road for about 500 metres.
(12) Turn left onto the path and follow it straight ahead towards Hubans until you reach a road.
(13) Turn left onto the road from Grenois to Hubans. Continue straight ahead, enter the hamlet of Hubans, and at the fork (wash house), take the street on the left and continue.
(14) At the next crossroads, go straight ahead along the dirt track which climbs and leads back to the road. Turn right and you will reach another crossroads.
(15) Take the road on the right which climbs steeply for 500 metres to the chapel of Hubans.
(16) Take the same path back to the previous crossroads.
(15) Turn right and continue straight ahead on Chemin de Mavé until you reach another crossroads.
(17) Continue straight ahead. Be careful at this point, as there are no markings at the crossroads or on the path, so continue straight ahead. You will find the markings further on and continue straight ahead until you reach the D34 road.
(18) Turn right onto the path that climbs into the Quatre Seigneurs forest. Enter the forest and follow the markings to cross the woods (don't worry, the path through the woods does not appear on the map but it is well marked).
Exit the woods and continue straight ahead to return to the original crossroads.
(2) Follow the same route back to the car park (S/E).
