Description of the route

Park in the car park at the start of the greenway opposite the eco-bike relay, Rue Jean Jaurès.

(S/E) Leave the car park and head opposite, Rue de l'Industrie. Follow the left-hand bend and cross the bridge over the Solre.

(1) Immediately afterwards, follow the path on the left along the river. At the end, ignore the path on the left and go straight ahead (Rue de la Cure) to the crossroads near the church.

(2) Continue straight ahead on Rue du 8 Mai 1945, pass the church on your left, then the town hall of Ferrière-la-Grande.
At the end of the street, turn right (Rue Roger Salengro).

(3) Turn left (Rue de la Barrière), go straight ahead until you reach the four-way crossroads at La Tillerie. Cross over and continue straight ahead (Chemin de Frechaux). Then continue along the path until you reach the next turning on the right at the corner of a hedge.

(4) Take this path and join a cross street (Chemin Stratégique) opposite no. 1216.

(5) Turn left and continue left onto the D95 (Rue du Fort) until you reach theGR®® 655 -GRP®® Tour de l'Avesnois path, at the town exit sign.

(6) Turn left (Chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle) and at the three-way junction (elevation 183), veer left and join a road. At this intersection, continue straight ahead, pass No. 1623 and join a four-way crossroads at the foot of an electricity pylon.

(7) Turn left, go straight ahead, pass the Taverne des Fouées and join a four-way crossroads (elevation 154).

(8) Continue straight ahead, then continue along a path until you reach a road with a calvary on your left. Turn right (Rue du Lieutenant Boucly), ignore Rue Robert Gilbert on your right and cross the bridge over the Solre.

(9) Immediately afterwards, take the greenway on the left. Follow it straight ahead until you reach the car park opposite the eco-bike relay (S/E).
