Start from the car park at Saint-Hérie Church in Matha.
(S/E) From the car park, cross Rue de Saint-Hérie and turn into the small Rue de la Pépinière. This narrow lane quickly turns into a wide limestone track. When you reach the sewage treatment works, continue along the road to the right.
(1) When you reach the D131, turn left. Walk carefully along this road (there is a pavement on one side only) for about 100 metres. Take the first limestone track on the right and follow it to the hamlet of Les Hubins.
(2) Walk through the hamlet and, as you leave it, leave the road and take the tree-lined path opposite. Pass under a power line and you’ll come to a crossroads.
(3) At the junction of the dirt tracks, turn left. Pass under the power line again and, at the next junction, turn right to rejoin the D131.
(4) Cross the road carefully and continue along a small road to the hamlet of Archambaud.
(5) Walk through the hamlet, cross the River Antenne and, at the next junction, turn right.
(6) When this road curves to the right, continue along the dirt track opposite. At the junction with a small road, carry on straight ahead along the track.
(7) A little further on, turn left onto a grassy track. Keep left at the junction of the grassy tracks. The path gradually turns into a limestone track until it joins the road. Then turn right. You’ll come to a white track on your left.
(8) Follow this track to the left. At the first fork in the tracks, take the right-hand branch.
(9) At the second Y-junction, turn left. Pass under a power line and turn left at the next junction of paths.
(10) Turn onto the second path on the right, opposite a vineyard. Then take the next path on the left, before entering the village.
(11) When you reach the road, turn right to enter the village of Matha. Head towards Rue de Saint-Hérie and turn left to reach the car park at Saint-Hérie Church (S/E).
