Description of the walk

Start from the car park at the Châtelain pétanque court.

(S/E) Head towards the far end of the car park, then cross the small footbridge and walk alongside the Papinais stream. After about 600 metres, you’ll reach a three-way junction opposite the Étang de Vauberton.

(1) Take the left-hand path, continue straight on, then pass between the two ponds. After this section, the path veers off to the left.

(2) After walking alongside a second pond, at the far end of the first pond, turn left. You’ll come out onto a small tarmac road; follow it to the left for 200 metres.

(3) Turn left onto the first gravel track. Follow this track until you come out onto a small tarmac road. At the end of the road, turn left into Rue d’Anjou. At the end of this, turn left again into Rue Principale. Carry straight on to reach the car park for the pétanque court (S/E).

The car park is very pleasant.
It’s a short, shaded walk. You can take a slight detour at the end of the route to go round the back of the church, along a very quiet street.
