Route de Saint-Antoine à Rouécourt

Park near the cemetery in the village of Rouécourt.

(S/E) Walk up the street to the town hall and reach the Main Street (D194).

(1) Turn right onto it and follow the route of circuit no. 51 (Yellow and Green). Turn left onto Rue Tombois and continue along the path that climbs to the right, towards the fire water reservoir. You will then pass close to a chicken farm on your left. Once at the top of the path, do take a moment to turn round and enjoy the panoramic view of the Haute-Marne countryside and its rolling hills.

(2) At the^first fork, turn right, then turn left at the junction near a wind turbine on your right. Continue straight on until you reach the junction with the D194.

(3) Follow this road to the left until you reach the village of Leschères-sur-le-Blaiseron.

(4) Turn right into Rue de la Mairie. At Place de La Mairie, find a quiet spot to rest or have a bite to eat by the water’s edge. Walk past the town hall on the right-hand side.

(5) Turn right onto the D117, then, before leaving the village, continue along a stone path on the right, towards the wash house where there is also a spot to rest. A few metres further on, pass by a wayside cross and arrive at a fork in the road.

(6) Continue along the path that climbs to the left. Once at the top, take a detour into a small wood where the statue of Saint Anthony is hidden.

(7) Return to the path and, after about ten metres, turn right to follow the edge of the woods until you reach the junction with a dirt track.

(8) At the junction, turn left towards the wind turbine. Then continue straight on towards the mast. You can walk as far as the mast and, in the woods opposite, find an old triangulation point (not marked on the map).

(9) Take the path along the woods on the right, then continue along the path that enters the woods. Follow it in a south-easterly direction until you reach a crossroads.

(10) At the junction, turn right towards the Ouville farm and, at the tarmac road, turn left and continue to the D194.

(11) Turn right onto this main road until you reach a path on the left, about 1 km further on.

(12) Take this path which climbs into the woods; keep a close eye on the route so as not to miss the fork, otherwise the return to the village of Rouécourt is directly via the road.
Continue along the track through the woods, then follow the fields on the left until you return to the village of Rouécourt.

(13) Turn left at the wash house to join the D194, then turn right back towards the town hall.

(1) Turn right to head down towards the car park near the cemetery (S/E).
