Access to car park
From Haguenau town centre, follow signs for Soufflenheim. Once you reach the D1063 (Route de Soufflenheim), turn left onto Route de Schwabwiller, which leads directly to the Gros-Chêne car park.
Green Ring trail
(S/E) Start the trail that leaves from the left of the inn, after the Club Vosgien signs.
(1) Keep left at the fork where there are two benches.
A few metres further on, turn right onto the forest path, following the alternative route. At the intersection with a path, turn left onto it and continue straight ahead.
(2) At the end of the path, turn left onto the track and continue straight ahead, ignoring the tracks to the left and right. After a little over 100 m, the track becomes a path that veers slightly to the right and runs alongside the Eberbach stream for a few metres. Cross the footbridge and continue straight ahead on the path.
(3) At the intersection of four paths marked by various Club Vosgien signs, go straight ahead and follow the path in a straight line for 850 m. At the T-junction, turn right onto Allée de Schierlach.
(4) At the intersection of four paths, leave Allée de Schierlach by turning left onto the path.
At the next intersection, turn right, then after 400 m turn right again onto the path to go around the plot.
(5) Turn left to return to Allée de Schierlach. After 350 m, turn right onto the path.
(6) At the intersection with Allée Forestière du Gros-Chêne, turn right onto the latter. Continue straight ahead.
(3) At the intersection of four paths marked by various Club Vosgien signs, continue straight ahead.
(7) At the intersection with Route de Schwabwiller (tarmac road), turn left onto the latter. Finally, cross the bridge over the Eberbach stream to return to the Gros-Chêne area (S/E).
