(S/E) From the car park, walk past the picnic area on your right and head into the forest.
(1) After passing the pond on your left, take the path on the right at the junction where three paths meet.
(2) Take the path on the left at the next junction. The path takes you away from the road; continue along it for a while. When you reach a wider path, cross it and continue along the same path opposite.
(3) Take the path on the left at the next junction and head up towards the Carrefour du Pendu.
(4) You’ll come to a wide path leading to the Carrefour du Pendu; just before you reach it, immediately take the smaller but clearly visible path on your right.
(5) Follow a track to the right for a few metres, then take a path to the left heading due north.
(6) You’ll reach a junction of four paths. Do not take the one on the left, which takes you back towards the Carrefour du Pendu, but take the one that veers slightly to the left, heading uphill towards the Bois Chalandron. Cross the footbridge over the Étang de Jarnotière, then turn left.
(7) You’ll reach Étang de Bouletière. You’ll now begin to leave the tranquillity of the woods behind and come across more developed areas, such as picnic spots and children’s play areas.
(8) At the Carrefour de l’Évangile, turn left past the children’s play area, then join the path that branches off to the right and leads you to another pond.
(S/E): Just a few more minutes’ walk after passing a pond on your left and you’ll be back at the car park.
