Park in the Orleix cemetery car park.
(S/E) Take the path heading north through the woods, join the tarmac road and turn right for a few metres.
(1) Turn right at the first fork in the road.
(2) Take the path on the left at the edge of the woods, bordered by meadows on the right.
(3) Turn right between two meadows to follow the edge of the second wood, then a few metres inside.
(4) Turn right at the hairpin bend. The first fifty metres are steeper, then the gradient becomes gentler.
(5) Cross Route de Sabalos in the middle of the forest path. Continue straight ahead on the path.
(6) Turn left to reach the Tour d'Oléac, where the view invites you to pause and admire the panorama of the Pyrenees hills, the Tarbes plain and the first hills of the Gers.
(7) To continue, retrace your steps until you reach the entrance to the forest.
(6) Turn left. From here, the descent is a little more technical due to the gradient (and slippery mud in wet weather). The first hundred metres are a little steep, but then it gets easier.
(8) Turn left again onto the same steep descent as before.
(9) Cross Route d'Oléac-Debat and head slightly to the right. Continue straight ahead to reach Ruisseau de l'Ousse, which you follow until you reach Route de Sabalos. Cross it to reach the cemetery car park opposite (S/E).
