Parking and departure at the crossroads with a cross at the top of Allier. There is a notice board opposite this cross. See also the photo entitled: "The departure".
(S/E) Head down Route du Hameau due east.
(1) Cross the Ruisseau de l'Echéoux and go up the road with several bends. Come out onto Chemin de Piétat. Follow it to the right, straight ahead, leaving the road on the left that leads to Les Séoubes.
Continue along the small road. Leave a path on your right and continue to the right-hand bend (leaving the path that branches off to the left). Continue along this small road until you reach a cross on your left.
(2) Go down and up again to a crossroads. Turn right onto the D85 and continue straight on to Barbazan-Dessus near the town hall.
(3) Continue for 400 m and, at a cross, take the small road on the left. Descend to the road bridge over the Arrêt-darré river.
(4) Continue along this small road, which climbs up to another crossroads with another cross. Continue along the road on the left until you reach the next crossroads at Hitte.
(5) Turn right towards the town hall and continue along this flat road until you reach a fork with a cross.
(6) Turn right down this small road to the D28. Cross the crossroads and take the small road opposite that descends towards the ford.
(7) Cross it and go up this road which leads to L'Arrêt. Pass a large farm on your right, continue and you will come to a fork with a path on the right.
(8) Go down it towards a ford (often muddy) and go back up. You will come to a crossroads; turn left.
Follow this path and pass an archery range (with a hut on your right). The path continues uphill. You will arrive at a crossroads that leads to the D85.
(9) Follow it to the left for 300 metres. Turn right onto a path that continues for 400 metres. You will come out onto the D119a. Follow it to the right, staying on the flat for 500 metres, then descend the hairpin bends towards Bernac-Dessus.
(10) At the end of the hairpin bends, turn right onto a wide path that climbs for 50 metres and turns right again. Simply follow this wide path, which joins another well-marked path higher up.
Turn left, heading due north. Stay on level ground, following this path straight ahead for about 600 m until you reach the D508, which descends to Bernac-dessus.
(11) Cross it and continue straight ahead on this path for 500 m. At the next crossroads where it meets a road, turn right and follow it for 1 km to reach the (S/E).
