La Condamine
This summit, rounded like a Vosges balloon, will captivate you with its marvellous panorama of the Écrins, stretching from the Vanoise to Mont Viso.
Summit of La Condamine
One of the most beautiful hikes in the area, a near-3000-metre peak (2940 m) with an exceptional view from the summit, including the Pelvoux directly opposite. Long but without any major technical difficulty, just two spots where you need to use your hands for about 10 metres to cross a small rocky outcrop, manageable for any good walker.

Crossing from Ailefroide to Chambran via the Cime du Paillon
An alpine hike, largely off-trail, through very wild terrain; not particularly difficult but requiring sure-footedness. You’re more likely to encounter chamois than people! Stunning views of the Pelvoux.
Setting off early means you can complete much of the ascent in the shade.
Vallouise - Pré de la Chaumette Mountain Hut
The Col de l'Aup Martin and the Pas de la Cavale from the Onde Valley, leading into the Champoléon Valley.
The Aup Martin – what a pass!
Note: This route is a stage of the Tour de l'Oisans but it is very challenging, particularly in early summer when there is still snow on the Col de l'Aup Martin. For this reason, a diversion has been put in place starting from Vallouise, passing through Puy Saint-Vincent, the Col de la Pousterle and the Fournel valley. You then join the Pas de la Cavale (GR®54A).

It reaches the Col des Ayes, descends the opposite slope, joins a track at L’Eychaillon and turns left onto it, running alongside the Torrent de la Rivière as far as Brunissard and then La Chalp.
