In the village of Roquefort-les-Cascades, follow the signs for the castle. The path first leads to the church located high above the village. Park in the car park in front of the church.
(S/E) Go around the church on the right, crossing the cemetery, to avoid going through the private garden. A "Passage interdit" (No Entry) sign is visible on the way back. Take the path marked in yellow. During the short climb through the woods, note the old terraces and large stone walls supporting the path.
(1) Once you reach the ridge, discover the ruins of Teyrac Castle, also known as Castellas de Roquefort. It belonged to the lords of Lévis-Mirepoix. Admire the beautiful view over Roquefort-les-Cascades and its valley.
Continue along this path, which leads to a pylon, passing alongside cliffs frequented by climbing schools.
(2) From the pylon, you can see Castellas-de Roquefort on the other side of the Plantaurel and a beautiful panoramic view of the Olmes region.
Return by the same route.
