Enter the old village of Roquefort-Les-Cascades and cross it towards the mountain, following the wooden signs that indicate the waterfalls. Be careful, the road is narrow and only one car can pass at a time!
At the end of the road, you will find a car park: the waterfalls are there!
No need to walk for miles, the first waterfalls offer a most relaxing landscape!
The proof is in the picnic tables that invite you to take a break and listen to the sound of the water gurgling and splashing.
(S/E) Turn right and start climbing to reach the first platform, then the second... at the end lies a little treasure that only Nature knows how to create!
(1) Admire this magnificent petrified waterfall which, depending on the season, is either filled with fresh water straight from the bowels of the mountain or adorned with a thin stream of clear water.
Take the path that climbs up alongside the waterfall and discover a breathtaking landscape... set off on an adventure and explore every corner of this natural space. Cross the stream on your right and climb up the path, but be careful as it is narrow, winding and can be wet!
(2) At the top, turn left and continue along the path... Admire the more or less dry beds of the many small streams that wind their way down and feed the waterfall...
You can guess their paths through the woods... You might even spot a few tiny fairies, behind a rock or a tree...
Begin the descent by following the path... be careful, it's slippery! Return to the car park (S/E).
