Park in the climbing centre car park, just above Pollionnay.
(S/E) With your back to the climbing centre, cross the road leading to the Col de la Croix du Ban and take the small tarmac path directly opposite. Continue straight up a marked slope on a pleasant path until you reach the road leading to the Col de la Luère.
(1) Take a small path slightly above that runs alongside the road to the Col de la Luère.
(2) At the pass, cross to the left and take a small path that climbs slightly to the right to Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid. You will enjoy the unobstructed view on the right of Saint-Pierre-La-Palud before following the D113.
(3) At the inn, turn left onto the path, then right. After a few turns in crenellations and bricks, admire the view on your left, on the south side.
(4) At the fork, turn left and take a path that descends quite steeply for a good while until it joins the D50.
(5) Cross this road with caution and continue down the path to the hamlet of Cunieux.
(6) From there, walk along a small tarmac road, passing through the hamlet of Roche Cocu, then Rousseau.
(7) Just outside Rousseau, take the path on the right which leads back to a small tarmac road, which you follow on the left.
(8) At the crossroads, continue left uphill, cross the main road (Vaugneray) with caution and continue uphill to a cross at an intersection.
(9) At the cross, continue straight ahead on the road until you reach another cross. The path is marked in yellow. Cross the road and continue straight ahead, crossing another road.
(10) At thethird crossroad, take the path that descends opposite until you reach a main road. Follow it on the left, on the path behind the safety barrier.
(11) After crossing a small bridge, take the path on the left that leads back up towards Pollionnay. Cross a road and continue straight ahead on this path. After a right-hand bend, you will come to a road with a cross at the intersection.
(12) Turn left onto the tarmac road and walk alongside a pond on your left. After passing the pond, begin the final climb back to the starting point: the Pollionnay climbing centre (S/E).
