Car park at the Col de la Croix du Ban.
(S/E) Leave the car park and take the path on the other side of the road, on the left.
The path climbs gently to the Croix du Ban.
(1) At the cross, take the path on the right. It follows a pleasant route along the mountainside. Ignore the paths that descend to your right.
(2) Take the Chemin Malatray, which turns left, and continue along this path.
(3) When you reach the edge of the forest near a reservoir, take the first path on your left that climbs into the forest. Follow this path, ignoring the paths and trails on your left, until you reach the D24 departmental road.
Take this road to the left for about 100 metres until you reach the Col de la Luère.
(4) At the pass, turn left, but very quickly leave the main path, which is signposted and very busy, heading north, and follow the path that descends to the right towards the east (follow the sign for "Les Crêtes").
Follow this path, which continues straight downhill, ignoring the path that branches off to your right at a pine forest. The path is quite steep in places and passes Les Béchères on your right before finally arriving at the D610 road. Follow this road to your right for about 100 metres until you reach a fork in the road on your left, which leads to the Pollionnay climbing wall
(5). Take this path and follow it until it crosses a tarmac road near a house in the forest.
(6) Follow this short road on the left. Cross the departmental road (D610) and take the path opposite, which climbs up to the Croix du Ban.
(1) When you reach the Croix du Ban, take the path on the right that will take you back to your starting point (S/E).
