Park in the church car park.
(S/E) Go to the route sign, which is the starting point, and turn right when facing the sign, following the very well-marked trail.
(1) Turn left onto a grassy path that makes a first turn left then right before joining a small road. Follow this road to the left for a few dozen metres.
(2) Turn left down the embankment. If you are afraid of slipping, you can find an easier passage about thirty metres further on, which is the actual route of the route. Follow the path that runs alongside a stream and then veers off to the right. After a series of bends, you will reach a crossroads.
(3) Turn right. Once at the crossroads, cross it, veering slightly to the right, and enter the small wood. Find a tarmac road to follow on the left. Pass Marigné, continue straight ahead at the crossroads and you will reach a three-way junction.
(4) At this point, follow the signs for Saint-Aignan n°4 on the right.
"Signs indicate a route to the left."
Cross the hamlet of Cap de Port.
(5) Keep right at the hairpin bend without continuing to Peyre Petit. Further on, watch out for pidgeon hunting huts (especially in October and November). Pass under a power line and reach a three-way junction.
(6) Take the left-hand path at this junction. Enjoy the scenery as you leave the woods: in the distance you can see the village of Monflanquin overlooking the area and, on the right, you can admire Château Cadrès. Join a tarmac road, follow it to the right for a few metres and then turn right again. At the crossroads, follow the path at the edge of the woods and then turn right onto a white path.
(7) Take the small lane to the left of the hedge.
(8) Be careful at this point: the path is not always easy to see, as it blends in with the edge of the field, which you must follow until you find the next sign. Then turn left and then right to reach the first houses of Saint-Aignan.
(9) Walk along the hedge on the left; here too, the path is sometimes difficult to see as it merges with the cultivated field. Once you reach the road, follow it to the left for about a hundred metres, then turn right.
(1) Turn left to reach the church car park (S/E).
