On arrival in the village of Leucamp, you can park in the small car park opposite the Salle des Fêtes, behind the Mining Museum.
Blue markings (note: faded).
(S/E) Follow the tarmac road and pass between the Auberge du Tilleul and the church. Turn left past the inn, then left again until you reach the fire hydrant.
(1) Head down to the left onto Rue de la Cafetière. At the bottom of the street, continue to the right. When you reach the house, turn right and take the path which offers a lovely unobstructed view to the left.
At the end of the path, facing the meadow, turn right onto the path leading downhill. 50 m further down, at the bend, leave the main path and continue to the left. The path is narrow and the end of the descent is a little steep.
(2) At the bottom of the descent, a sign points to the Rocher de Pailhol. At this point, turn left and continue along the path. A few metres further down, you will find yourself facing the rock. Head down to the left to the Langayroux stream.
Once at the bottom, simply look up to see the Rocher de Pailhol towering above you. Walk back up alongside the stream and look out for the ruins of the old mill on the left (a pile of stones). Cross a first footbridge, then a second. Continue along the rock face, bearing in mind that the water level may vary depending on the season. The path then moves away from the river, climbing to the right.
At the junction, go down to the left then continue to the right, following the path overlooking the meadow. Pass a first fence then a second one 150 m further on, winding your way along with a view of the stream below.
(3) At the fork, head up to the right, away from the river. At the next junction, continue uphill along the path on the right and stay on the main path to the right. At the barn, turn right towards the first houses, at a place called Paladre.
(1) Turn left, then right twice to reach the church square and the Mining Museum (S/E).
