Departure from the car park in the village of Saint-Rivoal.
(S/E) Take the D42 towards Le Faou (GR® White and Red markings).
(1) At Pont Ar Varn, take the road on the left towards Meilh An Traoñ, following the GR®. After 500m, leave the bridge on your left and continue on theGR® on the right bank of the river.
(2) You will come to a small road; follow it to the left (GR®). Cross the farm buildings of Moulin de Pont Glaz and cross the stream. At the T-junction, turn left.
(3) At Moulin de Glujau, follow theGR® trail to the left, passing in front of the gate of the old renovated mill. Cross the leat and then the river to go up the path that also serves as a stream bed. Follow theGR® markings to reach the hamlet of Kergombou.
(4) Leave the hamlet via the road heading south. After a left-hand bend, continue straight ahead on the road (east) and leave theGR® trail, which branches off to the right (south). Cross a local road and take the unmarked path opposite. Pass a water intake (green fence) and continue east, ignoring the paths on the right. This will take you to the D30 road at Strumenven.
(5) Follow the road to the right for about 600 metres.
(6) Turn left onto a wide forest track (unmarked). Walk east, ignoring all the paths branching off to the sides. At the "Route du Gorré" sign (elevation 307), continue straight ahead.
(7) At the next intersection, turn left onto a narrow path (yellow markings) indicated by a sign for "Route du Méné". After about 600m, you will reach a crossroads with six paths.
(8) Take thethird path on the left (GR® markings) towards Saint-Michel-de-Brasparts. At the next crossroads, turn left. At a fork, continue straight ahead. Cross the D84 and continue opposite, taking the steps that lead to the Chapel of Saint-Michel, at the top of a hill.
(9) Go down the stairs leading to the car park (GR® markings difficult to spot). Take the path at the back of the car park and follow theGR®380markings.
(10) At the intersection, turn sharply left (leaving theGR® trail straight ahead) and follow an unmarked path heading south-east, which will take you back to the crossroads.
(8) Then take the first path on the right, towards Saint-Rivoal (GR® markings). Pass under a power line and continue west with the GR®. At a T-junction, turn right and then immediately left to reach a pumping station.
(11) Continue straight ahead along theGR®, cross the hamlet of Bodenna and continue along the road.
(12) At the end of a slight right-hand bend, leave the road and theGR® and turn right onto a path that climbs up into a copse. This path is marked with horse riding signs (black horseshoe on an orange background). At a fork, bear left. At the T-junction, turn left and ignore a path on the right. At the next junction, turn right and then immediately left to pass under a power line.
(13) When you reach the D84, turn left onto a path and pass under the power line again. You will come out onto a road; follow it to the right. This will take you to Saint-Rivoal and then, on the left, to the starting point (S/E).
