(S/E) From the car park, head left towards the beach and follow the wide, stable path that starts the tour of the lake. Several paths with parking options lead off to the left.
(1) Cross a footbridge and reach a car park where the circuit leaves the lake shore.

(2) Cross the road and climb up into the woods opposite via the steps. Follow this shaded path.
(3) Leave the road leading to the Roz ar Hoël farm (sign indicating the sale of organic produce) on your right. Continue along the stony path on the left which crosses a pine forest.
Join the small road leading to the village of Saint-Cadou, in the commune of Sizun, turn right and head towards the village. At the entrance to the village, notice the imposing covered wash house on the left, which could accommodate ten people working standing up. Take a detour to the right to see the church and the old clock on the bell tower.
(4) Retrace your steps and take the Route de la Fontaine opposite, a stony path that leads to the Fontaine de Saint-Cadou fountain after about 300 m. Retrace your steps and turn left onto the Route des Carrières. This wide stony path runs alongside old slate quarries that are now overgrown with vegetation. On the right, you will see a peak: Rocher de Caranoët (300 m).
(5) After passing under the high-voltage power line, theGR®® meets a path called Chemin du Comte and continues west-southwest. Join a small road, follow it to the right towards the D342, leave theGR®® to your left and turn right at Croas-Oannec.

(6) Immediately take a narrow path on the right. Keep an eye out for it among the ferns and follow it. Join the D342.
(7) Follow it for a few metres to the right and take the small road on the left that crosses the D130. Continue straight ahead, reach the hamlet of Labou and turn right, still following the yellowPR® ®.
(8) After the hamlet, continue along the same path which leads to the D30, which you go around on the left. Continue along this small road for about 300 m.
(9) At the signpost, turn right down to an old fountain and wash house. Continue and cross a small ford
(10) At the next crossroads, turn left. This part of the circuit is undergoing major changes due to tree felling and trees felled by the storm in March 2017. Follow this path, which has been widened considerably by the work, and walk along the old watercourse of the Moulin du Bois.
(11) Turn right to cross the Elorn River on an old arch bridge. The date 1860 is engraved on the pediment. It is worth going down to the river on the left to enjoy the view of the bridge. Shortly after, thePR®® joins the GRP® °®°°des Monts d'Arrée.

(12) Follow this path to the right, passing through Kerambloc'h. Continue until you reach the Kérinizan horse farm, which you will go around on the left.
(13) Follow this small road downhill, then turn right onto a path passing near an old pumping station.
(14) Just before the INRA Experimental Fish Farm of the Monts d'Arrée (PEIMA), turn right, leaving theGR®® trail behind you. Cross the Élorn River on a small bridge made of three long slate slabs and turn left.

(15) Follow this path through the woods, which initially runs alongside the fish farm before moving away from it. Continue until you reach the path leading to the dam. Note the small hydroelectric and solar power station at the bottom of the dam.
(16) Cross the dam dyke to the left: there is a view of the lake and, in the background, the village of Commana, recognisable by its distinctive bell tower. At the end of the dyke, turn right to start the tour of the lake (information boards).
(17) Start the tour of the lake by following the path that goes around it on the left. Along this section, there are numerous information panels providing details about the lake and helping you to find your location on the route. View of the lake with the Monts d'Arrée ridge line in the background.
(18) At the junction with the road, turn right and then right again 100 m further on to rejoin the path along the lake and arrive at the car park of the water sports centre (S/E).
