Park in the church car park. The start of the circular route is at the hiking sign and is marked with the number 53.
(S/E) Take trail no. 53 towards Chabannes/Escoussous. 50 metres further on, at the cross, turn left onto the trail that climbs above the houses.
(1) At the exit of the hamlet of Finiels, you can admire a pretty fountain. Continue on the tarmac road to the left, and 50 m further on, climb up the concrete path on the right.
(2) At the Tuilière signpost, take the track on the left towards Vernédas (0.2 km).
(3) At the Vernédas signpost, turn right onto theGRP® trail marked in yellow and red towards Serre d'Aubrias. The trail leads to private property with gates that must be closed behind you.
(4) Before the pond, at the Serre d'Aubrias signpost, head towards Escoussous (1.8 km). Follow the road for about 200 m, then turn left, go through a private gate and walk to the pond. Retrace your steps and take the track to the Chabannes sign, then follow the track on the left.
(5) After a bend to the right, at the Escoussous sign 0.7 km, a path descends to the right and joins the road, which you take to the left. Just after this, you can see an original sculpture made from recycled materials, representing an animal that is difficult to identify.
After the first house in Les Escoussous, take the paved slanting street on the right downhill to cross the hamlet.
(6) At the Escoussous signpost, head towards Malbosc 1.6 km. Leave the track and take the path that descends. You will rejoin the track. At a fork, continue along the track that descends to the left until you reach signpost 53.
(7) Take a path on the left that descends to the stream, which you will ford. Then continue on the path that climbs back up to Malbosc (S/E).
