(S/E) From the Jardin des Moines car park, take the D939 on the right for 100 m, then turn left. Pass the post office, then cross the Dronne via a footbridge.
At the end of Rue Joussainn, turn right onto Rue Georges Saumande. Follow Rue Lacouture to the left. After the square, turn right then take a wooden footbridge on the left.
(1) Cross a car park on the right and follow the path alongside a field for 250 metres. Then turn left, cross the D78 and take the path towards 'Puy Marteau'.
(2) At the crossroads, follow a path on the right below the castle. Go down to the right, cross a footbridge and go up towards the place called 'La Coupelle'.
(3) When you reach the hamlet, turn right onto a forest track. This will take you to a field. Take the wide grassy track on the right and descend on the left.
(4) Just before 'Verneuil', take the path on the left that climbs into the forest. Turn left heading south just after a pigeon hunting hut: you will arrive at a crossroads.
(5) Turn right onto a path running alongside a field.
(6) When you reach a three-way junction at the edge of the forest, turn left.
Further on, leave the valley and climb up to the right towards the hamlet of 'La Claperie'.
(7) At the top of the village, turn left and then take a grassy path on the right that descends. Keep to the right and then go back up the road.
(8) Turn left. Leave the road and take a path on the right.
(9) At the bottom, turn right onto the D78. Cross the D939, go through the archway and follow the road past the abbey and town hall.
(10) Take the second bridge on the left to return to the starting point (S/E).
