Circular mountain bike route – Château de Commarque – Camping Ferme de La Brauge

A lovely mountain bike ride that passes by the foot of Commarque Castle.
Most of the route follows forest tracks, with lovely single tracks, and very few roads.
The ride does not present any major technical difficulties, but there are a few steep climbs.
Allow 1½ to 2 hours depending on your ability.
The ride follows several routes with different markings, so it is advisable to follow the GPS track.
Message from the moderators: During Château de Commarque’s opening hours, a €2 per person fee is charged to cross the property (to contribute to site maintenance).
Mountain bikers may pass through free of charge outside these opening hours. See practical information.

This route is no longer valid because at km 5 (the path leading past the foot of Commarque Castle is private). I wanted to do it as a trail run, but the site staff wouldn’t let me through to continue along the route. Other mountain bikers like me were turned away too. It’s a right pain!
