Description of the route

Departure from the motorhome area, Allée de la Vézère.

(S/E) Join Avenue de la Libération and turn right to cross the bridge, then take the street on the left at the roundabout. Between the SDIS and the Hôtel du Cygne, take Route de Bara-Bahau.

(1) Take this road on the right and continue along it.

(2) Pass the car park at the Grotte de Bara-Bahau. Continue through the hamlet of Canteyrat, then pass through Maine. After Maine, continue to the fifth road on the right (Route de Vialard).

(3) Turn right onto this road and continue to Saint-Avit-de-Vialard. Continue to the Cédez-le passage.

(4) Turn left onto Route du Camping, pass two forks and arrive at a third.

(5) Turn right onto Route des Feuillardiers, towards Journiac. Stay on this road until you reach the crossroads after the bridge.

(6) Take the road on the left, cross the village of Journiac and reach a stone cross.

(7) Turn right towards Mauzens-et-Miremont (cycle route). Continue to the end of the road (give way), ignoring all junctions.

(8) Turn right and continue to a stop sign.

(9) Continue straight on the D32 towards Mauzens-et-Miremont. Continue on this road until you reach the viaduct.

(10) Pass under the viaduct and turn left onto theD32E5 towards Périgueux/Rouffignac.

(11) Take the D32 on the right towards Rouffignac. Continue on the same road until you reach the car garage.

(12) Turn right after the garage and continue to the D31.

(13) Turn right and you will reach a Y-junction opposite the Route de la Mouchardie.

(14) Keep left towards Plazac (cycle route) and continue to the junction with the D6.

(15) At the stop sign, go straight ahead towards Fanlac and take the first left to continue on Route de Fanlac. Follow this road uphill, always straight ahead, until you reach the Quatre Cendriers crossroads.

(16) Follow the signs for Montignac/Fanlac until you reach the village of Fanlac. At the crossroads with a cross, turn right, then continue straight ahead until you reach Fanlac and its well.

(17) At the well, turn left towards Montignac and reach a Cédez-le-passage.

(18) Take the road on the right, go downhill, then continue straight ahead and go uphill to a pass.

(19) Continue straight ahead towards Montignac and you will come to a fork with a cemetery.

(20) Turn right onto Rue de la Liberté and continue straight ahead until you reach the bridge.

(21) Cross the bridge and continue along Rue du 4 Septembre until you reach the roundabout.

(22) Continue straight ahead towards Sarlat until you reach the third fork with Chemin des Granges.

(23) Take the street on the left and continue to the end.

(24) Turn left onto Route de Montignac until you reach the stop sign.

(25) Continue straight ahead towards Aubas and reach a fork at the end of the village.

(26) Take the road on the right until you reach the bend, then leave it and take Route de l'Escaleyroux on the left. Continue to the third crossroads.

(27) Continue right on Route du Sablou, pass the hamlet and arrive at another fork.

(28) At a place called Le Combel, keep left (Route du Bourdal). Stay on this road until you reach the Leyssartrou crossroads.

(29) Take the road on the left and continue until you reach the second road on the right (Route des Plateaux).

(30) Follow it to the right until you reach the Y-junction.

(31) Keep left towards Le Bousquet. Stay on this road until it ends.

(32) Follow the road on the right towards the village of Saint-Amand-de-Coly. After the car park, take the road on the right towards Sarlat until you reach the stop sign.

(33) Continue straight ahead towards Montignac/Sarlat and continue to the next stop sign.

(34) Cross the main road and continue straight ahead towards La Peytivie. Keep going until you reach the crossroads with a cross.

(35) Take the road on the left until you reach the stop sign.

(36) Turn right onto the D704 towards Sarlat, then quickly turn right towards La Chapelle-Aubareil. Follow the road to the village cemetery.

(37) Turn left after the cemetery, then quickly right towards Valojoulx. You will reach a stop sign.

(38) Turn left and follow the signs for Valojoulx. Stay on this road, enter a wood, then reach a four-way crossroads after leaving the forest.

(39) Continue left on Route du Masnègre until you reach the pond.

(40) After the pond, continue right on Route des Ruisseaux until you reach the first crossroads.

(41) Turn left towards Castel Merle. Stay on the same road until you reach the stop sign.

(42) Keep left towards Les Eyzies. Stay on the same road until you reach a five-way intersection with a La Poste post box.

(43) Turn right towards Le Béarnais and continue straight ahead until you reach the stop sign on the D66.

(44) Follow it on the left towards Peyzac-le-Moustier.

(45) Take the cycle route on the left towards Les Eyzies and join the D65.

(46) Turn right towards Sarlat/Les Eyzies and continue until you reach a stop sign.

(47) Continue straight on Route de la Crête and you will soon reach Route de l'Estrade. Follow it to the right and you will reach the stop sign at the end.

(48) Turn left (D706) and continue to Les Eyzies.

(49) At the bakery, turn right onto Rue du Moulin, pass in front of the museum and join Avenue de la Préhistoire.

(50) Follow this road to the right until you reach the car park junction. Turn left towards the Vézère car park, then right to go under the bridge and reach a footbridge.

(51) Take the footbridge (pedestrians: dismount your bicycle). At the end of the footbridge, take a sharp left turn to rejoin the greenway. Stay on the greenway until you reach the wooden logs separating it from the road, then stay on the road until you reach the stop sign.

(52) Turn left towards Campagne, cross the bridge over the river and you will reach a fork.

(53) Take the D703 on the right towards Coux/Belvès. At the top of the hill, pass a residential area, then continue to the next fork with the Route de Bigaroque.

(54) Take the road on the right and continue to Les Valades and Chemin de Ladière.

(55) Go down this road on the right, keep left at the bottom of the valley and reach Route du Château de Labatut.

(56) Turn left onto this road, then keep right on Route de Labatut towards Audrix. At the end, join Route de Proumeyssac.

(57) Follow it to the left until you reach Audrix.

(58) Turn left towards the church, then keep right towards Saint-Chamassy and continue to the end of the road.

(59) At the stop sign, take the road on the right towards Saint-Chamassy.

(60) At the stop sign, turn left onto Route de Falgueyrat, towards Le Bugue. Follow this road until you reach the give way sign.

(61) Turn left onto Route du Buisson, then immediately right onto Route du Pont de Ferrand. Continue to the stop sign.

(62) Turn left, cross the bridge over the Vézère river to reach Limeuil.

(63) At the give way sign, turn right towards Le Bugue. Continue on the D31 until the end of the road.

(64) At the give way sign, turn right onto the D703 towards Le Bugue and reach the junction from the outward journey.

(1) At the stop sign, turn right towards the town centre. At the roundabout, turn right towards Cahors/Le Buisson. Then turn left to return to the motorhome area (S/E).
