Start from the car park situated below the road before the barns.
(S/E) Take the Tramespeyres path on the left, above the road, shortly after the car park.
(1) Take the lower path when it splits into two. Cross the Ruisseau du Castet shortly afterwards.
(2) Follow the path straight ahead. The other paths were not clearly marked when we were there.
(3) Cross the Ruisseau de Lapeyrie and then go through a gate (remember to close it behind you!). Then head down to the village of Aulon.
(4) Picnic table and viewpoint. Take the opportunity to have a stroll around the village of Aulon.
(5) Take the Chemin de Lurgues, which is gently uphill (positive elevation gain) all the way. Continue to the hamlet of Lurgues.
Note: I couldn’t find the path leading to the viewpoint. On OpenStreetMap, it runs alongside a barn. But it appeared to have been privatised. There must be another way to reach the viewpoint, but I didn’t look for it. I’ll update the description based on any comments that come in.
(6) Continue straight on to reach the car park (S/E).
