Start at Place de la Mairie, in Faye-la-Vineuse (car park).
No signposts
(S/E) Opposite the town hall (school building), go around the building on the right and immediately turn right onto Rue de la Domade.
(1) At the stop sign (Collégiale Saint-Georges on the right), turn left onto the D111 towards Richelieu. Climb gently and, at the crossroads, go straight ahead, still towards Richelieu.
(2) At the stop sign, cross the D757 with caution and continue straight ahead towards La Bonnette, then descend. Note a vineyard on the right, then one on the left. Pass by a solitary walnut tree and continue uphill.
Blue markings (rare)
(3) At a crossroads, continue straight ahead. Ignore a path on the left (hiking signpost) and descend. Note the beautiful buildings of La Bonnette on the left. Continue on the tarmac road and, further on, follow a grove on your left.
No markings
(4) At the corner of the copse, turn left onto a grassy path. Follow a hedge on your left, then two hedges on both sides. Continue southwest between fields on your left and a hedge and the remains of a wall on your right. Continue southwest between the fields.
(5) Come out onto a track and follow it straight ahead.
(6) When you reach a house, just before a road (arrow indicating the direction of La Comble), turn left onto a grassy path and descend gently.
(7) At the bottom, take the first path on the right and climb back up just as gently. Walk for a long time, south-southeast, between the fields and ignore a path on the right. Further on, walk along a hedge on your right.
Blue markings (rare)
(8) Cross the D757 again with caution and continue on the path opposite (cooperative silos on the right). Follow a fence on your right, then ignore a path on the right.
No markings
(9) At the next crossroads, if you want to see a dovecote up close, turn right. You will come to a small road; cross it and follow it to the left until you reach the dovecote.
(10) Retrace your steps to the previous junction.
Blue signposts (rare)
(9) Continue straight ahead on a grassy path (turn left if you did not go to see the dovecote). Pass at the foot of a solitary walnut tree and walk north-east between the fields with the hill of Faye-la-Vineuse clearly visible. Cross a stream, climb gently and pass at the foot of another solitary walnut tree.
(11) Ignore a turn-off on the right and keep heading northeast. Further on, walk along a hedge on your right.
(12) Come out onto a track, follow it straight ahead and immediately turn right with it.
No signposts
(13) Shortly afterwards, take the first grassy path on the left. Continue along a track and walk alongside a house on your right. At the corner, continue straight ahead into Rue Perseigle. Then take the first street on the right and go downhill.
(14) At the crossroads at the bottom (old well on the left), turn left and enter Faye-la-Vineuse via Rue Dindin. Continue straight ahead to Place de la Mairie (S/E).
