Park near the church at Le Pin.
S/E:: Opposite the church, turn right towards “Les Alex” via Rue de la Caserne, next to the bistro. Continue until you reach the Étangs des Palles on your left.
(1) At the fishermen’s hut by the second pond, turn left to walk alongside it and follow the path running alongside the stream on your left. At the end, turn right, pass the stables and continue to the road.
(2) Turn left and continue straight on to Brézin. At the three-way junction, keep right towards Chemin de la Vie to reach another three-way junction.
(3) Take the path leading off to the left into the meadow. Continue straight on, generally downhill, following the yellow markings, and pass a pretty pond with a few statues and sculptures.
(4) After the pond, follow the path continuing to the right until the end, then turn left towards the D17C.
(5) Turn right onto the D17C and follow it carefully; just behind the second house, take a path leading uphill to the left (yellow markings).
(6) At the “Les Routes” signpost, follow the sign for “Les Plantes” to the left. Cross a junction, then when you reach a T-junction, turn right.
(7) Keep left, following the sign for “Petite Mare”.
(8) When you reach Petite Mare (the signpost on the right is not very visible), turn left onto a farm track leading into the meadow and fields towards Chubins. Cross a small tarmac road and go behind the farm buildings to reach the D17 at Chubins.
(9) Take the D17 to the right, towards “Les Cardelles”: take care, as this road is quite busy. 100 m further on, turn left onto a path that runs between the fields to reach the Les Cardelles junction.
(10) Turn left and follow the track until you reach a tarmac road. Leave the signposted route here and turn left towards Charpenne.
(11) From here, take in the view of Lake Paladru with the Chartreuse and the Vercors in the distance, and Mont Blanc on a clear day. Once in Charpenne, turn right then left onto the small road leading down towards Le Colomb.
(12) Almost at the end of the descent, turn left onto the Chemin du Colomb and follow it to the end. Turn left to reach the church at Le Pin (S/E).
