Description of the walk

Park near the Auberge du Croisil.

(S/E) With your back to the inn, head straight ahead onto the Route Forestière de Sassegnies. Continue straight on to follow the suggested route (see alternative route in Practical Information). Cross the Pont Gargantua and you’ll reach a junction.

(1) Turn left towards the 161m mark and go straight on.

(2) Turn left towards the 164m mark and continue straight on along the Laie de Locquignol.

(3) At the junction with the 169m mark, take the path to the left and then quickly turn right onto the Sentier des Grandes Pâtures at Le Croisil. At the end, you will return to the starting point and the 160m mark (S/E).

Boucle des Géants – short route 2.71 km – at elevation 163, you can turn left onto Laie du Profond Brai to simply complete the Boucle des Géants (a very short walk of 2.71 km) and go directly to altitude (3).
