At La Ferté-Saint-Cyr, take Route de Saint-Cyr and park on the right in the car park at the entrance to the cul-de-sac leading to the Champ Brebis housing estate.
(S/E) Leave the cul-de-sac, turn right for a few metres, then right again onto theGRP®, Chemin de Villeny, South-East and join the intersection with the CR23.
(1) Cross the CR23 and take the CR27. You will reach a Y-junction.
Leave the CR27 to the right and turn left onto the CR28. Join a small road and follow it to the right towards the hamlet of Saint-Cyr.
Drive through this locality and you will come to a Y-junction.
(2) Leave the road and follow the sign for CR32, Lauray, to the left. Join the CR23 at a place called Moulin Lauray.
(3) Turn right and follow the red and white markings forthe GR®3C, which also covers theGRP® de Sologne, ignoring all side roads.
(4) At the iron cross, turn left onto the CR5, leaving theGR®3Chere, then cross the Cosson via a narrow bridge. Continue along the uphill path to the D103.
(5) Cross this departmental road with caution and follow the CR5. At the T-junction, turn right onto the CR4. At the Y-junction, leave the CR3 on your left and continue to follow the CR4. Ignore all side paths.
Pass successively by the Grand Étang de la Terrasse, the Étang de la Noue and the Étang du Cerf.
Go around the hamlet of La Touche on the left. Pass a tennis court and continue to follow the CR4 signs. You will come to a crossroads.
(6) Turn left onto the CR2. Ignore all side roads. You will reach an inverted Y-junction.
(7) Turn right onto the CR5, join a small road and follow it to the right for about 150 metres, following the CR5 signs. Pass between the Étangs des Mazeaux and Étangs des Maseaux ponds.
(8) Take the first road on the left, signposted CR5. Cross the CR8 and continue until you reach an inverted Y-junction.
(9) Turn left onto the CR12, cross the CR8, continue along a wide grassy lane until you reach a crossroads at a place called Les Bruyères des Chênes de la Londrie.
(10) Turn left onto the CR9, pass Villabry, then continue along the dyke separating two ponds. Join a small road.
(11) Cross the road carefully and continue following the signs for CR9, Le Chêne, until you reach the D103, ignoring all side roads.
(12) Cross the road carefully and take the path opposite, signposted La Gilbardière.
Ignore an entrance on the right, just after it, keep to the right and follow a grassy path, which descends to Le Cosson.
This is definitely the most fun part, especially if you're in a group, because... it's time to take off your shoes! There is no facility for crossing the ford.
After crossing the ford, continue along the grassy path and you will reach a T-junction very close to the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(3) Turn right and follow the white-red markings of the CR23. Ignore all side paths and join a small road.
(13) Cross the road carefully and follow the white-red markings.
(1) At the junction with the CR 27, turn right and follow the path you took on the way there in the opposite direction until you reach the car park (S/E).
