Start from the car park at the post office on the main street (Rue Faubourg de Bretagne) in La Ferté-Saint-Cyr, near the bridge over the Cosson.
(S/E) Turn right along the main street with your back to the Cosson (town hall on your left). Rue Faubourg de Bretagne becomes Faubourg Guyenne.
(1) Turn left at the first street, Route de Saint-Cyr. Pass the fire station, ignore the first street on the right towards the Champ Brebis housing estate and keep right at the fork onto Chemin de Villeny. This is followed by a stabilised path at the entrance to the forest.

(2) Turn left at the crossroads. The track crosses a small lane. Ignore the various side tracks.
(3) Turn right onto the CR32, a wide, stabilised lane, just before the entrance to Moulin Lauray. The lane bends to the right and becomes paved as it approaches the hamlet of Saint-Cyr, taking the name Clos de Saint Cyr.
(4) In this hamlet, at the crossroads, turn left onto Chemin de la Croix Gérat in the direction of La Fosse CR27 towards the south. Continue in roughly the same south-south-east direction after Croix Gérat.
(5) At the crossroads near Bel-Air, leave the paved lane and take the grassy path on the right. This meets the D925, which you will take to the right. Leave the first private road to Les Hauts Fossés on your left and take the next one, the grassy CR44 road. A signposted CR 21 road appears on your right, but do not take it. Continue on the CR 44, passing Les Hauts Fossés farm on your left and the grassy road on your right.
(6) At the fork, leave the CR44 and keep right onto the CR21 towards Étang des Binoches.
(7) Leave the CR21 and take the first path on the right, the CR22. Stay on the grassy path that is most frequently used.
(8) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead on the grassy path, then straight ahead again at the next crossroads, on the CR22 towards La Frelonnière.
(9) Shortly after the Étangs de Fambron, turn right onto the stabilised lane towards La Frelonnière, following theGR®31-3Csign towards La Ferté-Saint-Cyr. Continue along the grassy path opposite until you reach the D13.
(10) Leave the CR22 and take the first path on the right, the CR23. This crosses the D13 again. Once again, stay on the most well-trodden grassy path until you reach a wide paved path at the hamlet of La Platine.
No signposts
(11) Leave theGR® and take the leftmost lane, Chemin de la Platine or CR20. Turn right at the intersection with Route de Dhuizon (D13), then keep left just after the cemetery to return to the main street.
(1) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead on Faubourg de Guyenne until you return to the starting point (S/E).
